Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 23, 2014 1:40 pm Afternoon team, Well our tender is only a week and a half away and we are starting to get a little nervous . Henley have only given us a ball park of $12,500 to $35,000 which hasn’t really made us feel any better. When we initially started looking for a builder Burbank quoted $13,000 fixed. I understand site costs are one of those incredibly variable things that depend a lot on rock content and soil types. I was just fishing for some what to look out for’s and stories from other people who have built with Henley or in the Harvest Views Estate North Epping. Up till this point Henley have been amazing and I don’t see why the tender should be any different. Any hints and tips are greatly received. On a side note to claim back our surveying costs we must have proof that the block was marked by a qualified person where would I source this document?? We were also provisional charged $2,500 for an electrical pit but that was already in place so we get that back as well. I know provisional means it can go up as well as down so we have our fingers crossed there are no swimming pool sized boulders under there. We are just waiting on the council permit and the developers approval. The developer only accepts submissions by snail mail so they are really dragging the chain. Again Henley have been good and are still hopefully of getting started in the first week of May.
