Re: Greenway Estate, Marsden Park - Community Corner 245Jun 04, 2014 3:21 pm We are building with Champion Homes. We had our ceiling raised from 2400mm to 2600mm. I do not recall being charged for any non-standard fee for this matter. We were only billed for the variation itself.
Re: Greenway Estate, Marsden Park - Community Corner 247Jun 04, 2014 4:21 pm Hi kaycee, I am building with New Living Homes and raised ceiling height. Got only Post contract variation amount .... no other fee. Hi Radtech, The cost may include admin and plan redraw fees........ How much you paid for ceiling height for 4 beds house? Re: Greenway Estate, Marsden Park - Community Corner 248Jun 04, 2014 8:22 pm Costco Planning Proposal (April 2014): http://leptracking.planning.nsw.gov.au/ ... ntId=14977 You can go straight to page 20 for timelines. When this process gets completed by end of 2014, the Development Application follows and will take up to the second half of 2015 to be approved. Only then can the Costco warehouse starts to build. These are all at the hands of Blactown Council Town Planning. At least we can be hopeful that someday Costco will be at SBP. Re: Greenway Estate, Marsden Park - Community Corner 249Jun 04, 2014 10:37 pm Hi, dudhatra! CH charged $3,300 to increase ceiling height to 2600mm. Thanks again for those informative inputs, kaycee! I hope Costco will push thru to do business at Marsden Park. I think having a Costco store will have a positive effect on property valuation in nearby areas. Re: Greenway Estate, Marsden Park - Community Corner 251Jun 05, 2014 7:28 am We were charged $3800 to lift the ceilings to 2600 with champion - this is for a single story. Sometimes I feel they just slap on whatever markup they want to the variations and see if you are willing to pay for it Re: Greenway Estate, Marsden Park - Community Corner 252Jun 05, 2014 11:29 am Hi Homeseeker, Kaycee and Radtech, My builder (New Living Homes) charged me $4800 for similar. Post contract variation is 10 to 15 % costlier than normal charge. So we will pay more. It looks like, CH does not charge consistantaly for same work. Re: Greenway Estate, Marsden Park - Community Corner 253Jun 05, 2014 1:06 pm Stage 2A CH A$3,300 Stage 2B CH A$4,400 @homeseeker: I feel inclined to agree with you. Which stage did you buy and what house model was it? Again I still believe that those who chose Masterton now were luckier although the cost of the 2600mm ceiling height may have already been factored in. My current Masterton house was built in year 2000 but I only had the Mansion package and had to pay a little bit for the raised ceiling (ground floor only). Which stage did you buy and what house model was it? Kaycee stage 5a novara Re: Greenway Estate, Marsden Park - Community Corner 255Jun 05, 2014 2:31 pm @homeseeker: Lucky you, I am being charged A$5,575 + admin fee + plan redraw fee = A$6,625 It seems that Champion Homes, although sometimes being inconsistent in pricing, is doing the best job so far amongst them all. What remains to be seen is their performance during contruction process. Anyone knows about Eden Brae and Wisdom Homes? Re: Greenway Estate, Marsden Park - Community Corner 256Jun 05, 2014 2:39 pm kaycee @homeseeker: Lucky you, I am being charged A$5,575 + admin fee + plan redraw fee = A$6,625 Is this for a two story? I guess in a way that justifies the higher base variation price. But what stage is this house from? Stage 5a? Re: Greenway Estate, Marsden Park - Community Corner 258Jun 05, 2014 3:42 pm I guess the lesson learnt is read a sample/template of the builder's contract first and carefully analyse all the details especially the 'Special Conditions' section before jumping in the queue. Re: Greenway Estate, Marsden Park - Community Corner 259Jun 05, 2014 7:48 pm It's hard to bargain with these builders because you had already reserved the house&land package. Whereas if you are still scouting for builders, some may throw-in freebies like flyscreens, security doors, keyed knobs, privacy locks, wiring installation provisions etc... all of which, CH is not offering in GL. Re: Greenway Estate, Marsden Park - Community Corner 260Jun 05, 2014 8:12 pm @theziplocks I'm curious as to what wiring installation provisions are you talking about? 4 14292 Dear all, Requesting your help in relation to a CDC code.
