Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 20, 2014 10:24 am Hi, I am looking to build a new home at the "Hermitage" near Narellan in the near future. This will be our fourth new home and we have been out of the market for 20yrs. Can anyone advise if either Eden Brae or McDonald Jones are worth going ahead with?. My present home which was built by Allworth Homes , I found to be disappointing because the concrete slab was put down poorly i.e. it was not square thus brickwork ended hanging over the edge of the slab in a couple of sections, the edge of the steel reo of the edge beams were also left exposed in a couple of spots due to incorrect concrete formwork. The concrete contractor should have been more closely supervised by them. Apart from that there were no problems and it has been a trouble free house, but not going with them this time.
