Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 13, 2014 11:14 pm I need to get a geotechnical report and contour mapping done for our building site. We are near Mandurah on a 1ha block. The soil is mainly clay and where we are going to build the ground slopes upward about 1m. So far I have found Structere for the geotechnical for a bit under $2,000. I have no idea for the contour report. Does anyone have any suggestions and rough costs. Thanks Mark Re: Help Geotechnical Mandurah Area 2Feb 14, 2014 10:17 am Our investigation and report by Structerre was $2800, for a much smaller block. Ours was done through our builder though, so we were an easy target! Site survey was $500 by builder. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Help Geotechnical Mandurah Area 3Feb 14, 2014 11:35 am We tried going direct through Structerre and they wanted about $1700 just for the soil survey. We went through a builder and were charged $1500 for soil survey and contour survey. There are other geotechnical soil survey companies in Perth who may do it cheaper. I found a few on google while we were going through the process. Good luck with your clay soil. I hope it's not an issue for you!
