Told my mum today that we might be in for xmas and I get a gift voucher via email to buy one LOL! Nervous wait now to see if we do get keys by xmas or we will be homeless :/ Re: Take Two: Warnbro, M3 Residential - Tile meeting 84Nov 12, 2014 1:27 pm You know, if all else fails, chuck your stuff in storage and go on holidays with your family. I seriously thought about it. Taking the kids overseas for a month is cheaper than rent and food here... and that is with 4 of us! Of course that would have left hubby home to earn the money to pay for it hahahahaha Not homeless, on holiday ______________________________________________________________________ Signed up Jan 2013........Almost done! I'd absolutely love to as we don't have any bills til we move in then but I'm almost out of A/L I haven't been the healthiest person the last few years I have to have an infusion chemo ward once a month so I have to keep taking days off for it. But hey one of our options is a caravan on the block... that's a sort of holiday :/ hehe! A caravan on the block sounds cosy... depends how much you get on each other's nerves in confined spaces By the time you move into the house, you may be using two bedrooms ______________________________________________________________________ Signed up Jan 2013........Almost done! We do alright however I'm sure I would need a holiday afterwards and would never complain about heat again LOL! I just mentioned to the other half about a holiday instead and he is devo! We should have planned something it would have been fantastic!! Re: Take Two: Warnbro, M3 Residential - Tile meeting 89Nov 14, 2014 9:51 am As of Wednesday night we still haven't had any trades this week - fingers crossed they were there yesterday and today. Spending the weekend there to finish of the shed and fence plus some top soil to get a decent lawn going Re: Take Two: Warnbro, M3 Residential - Front Render Paint 90Nov 14, 2014 7:22 pm Front render was painted today - and I'm a bit sad as I really don't like it I will most likely change it afterwards it's just too much blue and honestly it doesn't match (roof door and render is all colorbond deep ocean) Any colour ideas are appreciated - we were rushed for choice and really didn't think about it or try to envision it. Ah well can't get everything right huh. Re: Take Two: Warnbro, M3 Residential - Front Render Paint 91Nov 14, 2014 10:22 pm Think about your planting afterwards though some bright green plants against those walls will look amazing!! Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66620 Re: Take Two: Warnbro, M3 Residential - Front Render Paint 92Nov 15, 2014 11:25 am Yeah worry about this later, it actually has a great contrast, once the paving/driveway is done you will be able to see the different. I would also wait until you have some garden to decide! Re: Take Two: Warnbro, M3 Residential - Front Render Paint 93Nov 15, 2014 3:19 pm Thanks guys, had another look today we do like the blue just not on the door side of the garage. Will probably change that after we move in however it's not a big deal now. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ shed frame is finished today just need bottom struts then start sheeting and roller doors tomorrow. Still no other movement in the house (still no waterproofing) - only 2 days out of the last 45 we have had trades on site. I'm pretty confident we will not get keys before Xmas. Re: Take Two: Warnbro, M3 Residential - Front Render Paint 94Nov 15, 2014 5:20 pm Just busted a guy at the house pinching brickies sand. Not freaking happy. Re: Take Two: Warnbro, M3 Residential - Front Render Paint 95Nov 15, 2014 9:01 pm OMG!! I quite like the blue, but I'd paint the right hand side of the garage the same as the other side. Yay for something happening! Did you take the guy's photo?! What happened? ______________________________________________________________________ Signed up Jan 2013........Almost done! We were spreading soil we had bought out the back of our block to get some lawn going. We had spread that out and partner left to get the next load and left me at the block alone. I hear a car pull up thinking it was him (he would wait at the front so I could open hatch to see to reverse) but saw some guy shoveling a pile of brickies sand into the back of his ute. I asked him to stop and he told me the plasterer had said he could have it so it's ok... The cheek! I said no mate I'm the owner I have the say not him. Told him to put it back and leave. Being on my own I was a tad worried that he might get a bit narky so I tried to be as calm as I could about it. Fair enough it's only brickies sand and it was the **** left over pile (good pile was not touched) but it is ours - it's the principle of it I wouldn't take something out of someone's front yard just because it's not the best and assume it's not wanted. We do have a fair bit of area at the front that needs leveling so that sand will help so we don't have to fill it all with good soil especially if we are not planting in those areas. I'm a bit over the build tbh now I just want it over and done with so I can actually enjoy it. Low and behold it's actually dark in colour (everyone else's I have seen has been yellow!) Still hanging onto a slim chance we will be in for xmas.... Re: Take Two: Warnbro, M3 Residential - Tiling Started!! 99Nov 17, 2014 9:12 pm Oh YEAH!
