I been told historically they don't raise building costs unless they really haft too and not to worry. in your contract the is a Cap on the cost of which they can charge you if they have a significant price increase (it is a % but from what I can remember it wouldn't be much in terms of the overall costs ) we are with homebuyers also have our pre start next month which is odd as we are still a long way off lol but pretty happy chose all our stuff within an hour floors bathrooms cupboards feature tiles carpet was good fun actually ppl at crosby tiles were great hey checkers Our pre-start was for February lol we delayed it till July looks like I'm going to delay it again just to be safe, no point picking out things if we are far off. which block are you in 6a again checkers, im no 17. If you see a red sports calias v driving around that'd be me. Re: Avonlee Stage 6 Brabham W.A 32May 18, 2014 9:01 pm yeah plans are all set, I mean we will do a few extra power points and bits like that. my cousin in law is building down the road at start of park street but is the border of stocklands so hence the titles on time. got him signed up after me which was in august. he's moving in next month, when I drive to our empty land we go by his house they done quiet a good job on workman ship throughout for an project home so I'm excited when ours is finally start. also on the contract, I think from memory they can charge upto 1% of overall cost of house each month, which for me and my wife would be around $1700 I think. If they choose to do this is upto them, like I said before they kept saying historically they don't unless they really have to but im sceptical about that. Re: Avonlee Stage 6 Brabham W.A 33May 19, 2014 1:47 pm I went to have a look at my slab in stage 3A ( the only slab that time ). I think i went there with my wife few days ago. you might have seen me. I have a Dark Grey Kia Rondo so if you see me next time feel free to come for a chat. My builder keeps telling me that there is a shortage of bricklayers so do not know when they are going to start it... Re: Avonlee Stage 6 Brabham W.A 34May 20, 2014 9:36 am Hey all, my name is Hayley my partner and I are building in Stage 6a too. I heard from the developer on the 12th of May and they advised they are still waiting on sub division approval to issue as they met with the WAPC on the 7th of May. Apparently the WAPC are being impacted by some government cut backs, so they are expecting to receive sub division approval in the next couple of weeks but this could delay titles a further 4-6 weeks. Re: Avonlee Stage 6 Brabham W.A 35May 20, 2014 5:13 pm Just a quick reply to Jamesy, i am building with Ideal Homes and they did increase the total price by $5000. It was basically in the contract that " price due to increase by some percent if it gets delayde" which we missed obviously. Re: Avonlee Stage 6 Brabham W.A 36May 20, 2014 6:01 pm hey rahulvig, that's not bad. I don't mind spending the money if actual price increases Just went by the land, they have a scraper onsite today and a big escavator in distance. hopefully something happens. Re: Avonlee Stage 6 Brabham W.A 39May 21, 2014 8:19 pm jamesy hey mortz just curious you drive a black car and visit your slab with your wife by any chance? saw someone which I think was you on 2 different occasions, if it is i'll beep next time lol Whoops missed the notifications for this thread. Black car wouldn't have been me. I'm usually on my motorbike when I visit. Feel free to say hi anyway Got the building permit last week (finally) so should have something concrete very soon. The fastest thing a builder will do is bank your cheque, those systems work perfectly with lightning speed, everything else is slow burn. Just the way it is. 1 9095 1 4931 Thanks for much mate. I see that you do cabinets before flooring. For timber flooring, for most parts it's fine because it's got base plates, and for door jabs you can… 7 13507 |
