We've just signed off on our plans for the backyard so the landscaper will be starting soon. We thought we'd do it ourselves and we dug about 2 holes and made a mess. That was a month ago so we decided to assist the local economy and just get it done professionally. We are also getting our study fitted out soon so I can't wait for that. I'll probably do a whole lot of photos when everything's finished. I am still on here checking out everyone else's builds though. I'm just catching up last few days. Re: Bryan & Petersen build in Victoria - LANDSCAPING 366Feb 14, 2015 5:02 pm Great! I look forward to seeing the rear landscape plan and also seeing the photos of it all coming together. I went looking for landscape threads the other day and founds yours and have subscribed. ![]() Re: Bryan & Petersen build in Victoria - LANDSCAPING 367Mar 23, 2015 5:44 pm Well our backyard landscaping is complete. It's going to be a real Australiana style. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ These are the capital pyrus pear trees which will eventually form a beautiful tall screen from next doors house. I had the idea of using bamboo but the garden designer said these grow incredibly quickly and have the bonus of turning orange and then filling with white flowers in Winter. We will put some chairs and a fire pit here. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Watering is so easy with the drip feeder. Just 30 mins once a week is all that's needed so it's very economical. Here are some pictures from the front where we have seen some great growth in only a few months. We need bird feeders, some garden art and a seating area. Re: Bryan & Petersen build in Victoria - LANDSCAPING 368Mar 23, 2015 7:03 pm Looking great Joanne! I do like those pear trees, very pretty and a great screen. Looks low maintenance and water efficient, do love your deck ![]() Custom build Northern NSW viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72217 Re: Bryan & Petersen build in Victoria - LANDSCAPING 369Mar 23, 2015 9:28 pm Looks amazing!! I love pear trees too. Is the one in the front a real pear tree or ornamental? (I always wonder if real pears can look as good?) Great that you can use the pear trees as we'd love to do the same but we want to be screening the neighbours out the whole time (not just summer ![]() Love your low maintenance garden. I don't think we can get away with the sand/gravel like you have. It'd be full of weeds in no time! The growth is looking amazing in the front yard! Re: Bryan & Petersen build in Victoria - LANDSCAPING 370Mar 23, 2015 9:33 pm Thanks TW and yvonneh. The one in the front is ornamental. I was worried about losing my screen in Winter too but they do stay fairly well covered by flowers (I hope). We weed about once every 3 weeks. The only problem is they sprout up right under the plants because of the water supply. Re: Bryan & Petersen build in Victoria - LANDSCAPING 371Mar 23, 2015 9:41 pm It looks great - the crushed gravel also makes me think of a zen garden ![]() Re: Bryan & Petersen build in Victoria - LANDSCAPING 373Apr 08, 2015 5:13 pm Love your house Joanne, I've been browsing through your pics and wanted to ask a question about your bathroom. You have similar colours in your ensuite to our new bathroom and I was wondering what white stone to use on the vanity, did you mention yours is C/S white shimmer ? Just wondering if you are happy with it, that it looks white enough and isn't an off white colour? thanks ![]() Re: Bryan & Petersen build in Victoria - LANDSCAPING 374Apr 09, 2015 1:33 am Hi MT70. The bench is white shimmer and I do love it. It would also look hood in snow white, one of the other Caesarstone colours. It is a slight off white but it looks crisp because it is such a contrast to the charcoal. We have spotlights over the basins which makes the bench look really sparkly. I would choose it again if I was selecting colours. Good luck with your choices. Old Home Restoration / Renovation I cannot find a review for the Reblocker I am getting a quote from.
