haha you sound like me. Hubby cooks - I only reheat whatever he cooks. Plus he is having his outdoor kitchen so the inside kitchen is just for making 2 minute noodles when he is away.

But kitchens are a really personal choice. haha you sound like me. Hubby cooks - I only reheat whatever he cooks. Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 42Mar 22, 2014 8:56 pm I love to cook and bake! But I am bad at cooking on the BBQ. I wanted four ovens, but hubby is it was a bit to much. So we went with 2 ovens and a 30 cm warming drawer Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 43Mar 22, 2014 11:14 pm asha belzey haha you sound like me. HATE HATE cooking worst job ever lol, don't mind baking every now and then...would rather scrub a loo with a toothbrush then cooking meals Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 44Mar 23, 2014 12:19 am 2-cupcakes-pls I love to cook and bake! So we went with 2 ovens and a 30 cm warming drawer 2 ovens and a warming drawer sound awesome - especially if you love to cook then completely justifiable. I can barely justify one oven based on my cooking or lack thereof. We have this gorgeous circa 1999 simpson oven in the rental which has not been used once in the 4 months since we moved in, I don't know if it even works. I used our oven at the old place a little bit but am a little fussy about using second hand ovens after I cooked a mouse once years ago in another rental. If I won lotto I wouldn't change my house, or my car, or our other toys but I would get a chef just so I would never have to cook again. I think I only wanted to two wall ovens so that they would balance out the fridge recess and make things look symmetrical - definitely not for practicality. But hey if we were all practical all the time we would all be driving camry's Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 46Mar 23, 2014 1:38 am asha belzey asha OMG - you must be my long lost twin!! I say to my hubby all the time if we win lotto or if we were filthy rich first damn thing I would do is hire a Chef!!! Symmetry is good Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 47Mar 23, 2014 1:59 am And the second thing - someone to clean up after the dog. Then I would be pretty happy! From memory they were $65m2 - still waiting to see what the final costing is - eek. They were from Trimview ceramics in Bunbury but I cannot recall what they are called but can find out if youd like. Thanks ascha, just catching up and we did our tile selections yesterday so found some we are happy with. But yours are gorgeous. Well worth the upgrade!! Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 50Mar 26, 2014 1:27 am Quick update: Went shopping today and bought our first purchase for the new house. It is for our eldest boys bedroom, he had exactly the same light on a dimmer in our last house that he used for a night light. He has been quite homesick since moving and hoping this will help him settle in a bit better at the new place. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also found a pic that kind of depicts what we are trying to do in the bathrooms. We are having this exact above counter sink, tapware as well as our mirror is going all the way down to the benchtop. Hopefully I don't regret the dark brown woodgrain with grey tiles. If we talk about the old house he will get upset and cry all over again. Poor boy, we were shocked when he first cried over the house. We didn't think he would get emotional when we had to move. Breaks your heart doesnt it? How old is your boy? We drive past our old place every time we go to the block as its in the same little estate and he keeps saying can we just go home.. Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 53Mar 26, 2014 7:04 pm LOVE your sons light that is just so cute!! And what you are aiming for in the bathrooms is going to look absolutely fantastic Asha...gorgeous! Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 54Mar 26, 2014 10:22 pm I've just read through your thread, and I love your plan! We are in the early planning stages of our second build and are looking for a lot of the same features (no kids yet, but planning for the future), I wish our block was a different stage so I could just transplant your plan! Haha! Also, our current kitchen is white stone tops, woodgrain cabinets and we have grey tiles, it's the perfect combination so don't stress 1st build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59376 *New*-2nd build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70324&p=1154282#p1154282 Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 55Mar 26, 2014 10:57 pm Hi asha My son will be 7 this year. He likes it when drive past the block now, because he wants to see if they have build tour house. I do wonder if he thinks that one we will drive past the block and bam there's our house all ready to move into! I wish!! Haha I keep driving past my block and hoping that miraculously there is a completed house ready to go. My eldest aka Mr Sensitive is also 7 this year. He is slowing coming around, being that it is in the same street/loop as the last place I think he will settle in quite quickly since he has some friends there already. I had a quick squiz at your new thread and I see you have an acre too - you will love it. They are a lot of work but sooo worth it especially when you do have kids. They are also big fat money pits as everything is on a much bigger scale but if your realistic going into it you will still be able to sleep at night (I didn't much on the last build as I just wasn't prepared for how much everything cost). Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 58Mar 27, 2014 9:47 am I'm hoping we're prepared! My parents are currently on an acre and a half, and when I was younger we had five acres. We've upped the budget this time by about 40%, our builder has built on the two neighbouring blocks and they seem to think (for the house part) we should be pretty ok, including treatment plant and a tank, as well as a longer driveway and a shed. At least we save on rates since we don't have to pay for a water connection or sewerage? Haha! 1st build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59376 *New*-2nd build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70324&p=1154282#p1154282 Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 59Mar 31, 2014 11:40 pm Got our finalised and ammended prestart costings in the mail today. Overall we only spent $6500, would of been more had we not deleted a few things. Some things were surprisingly well price or even better - no charge at all. so now we just wait ... Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 60Mar 31, 2014 11:45 pm on the home stretch now asha you did well, I am hoping to only spend about what you spent!
