Thanks Trixee - we went with Kenda Kikuyu as it stays nice and green all year (supposedly) and after having Sir Walter and Palmetto buffalo wanted something that didnt go seedy and spiky.

Re: Asha's HGWA build - We have grass!! 1490Dec 25, 2015 9:58 pm Hello and a merry merry christmas to everyone who may still be following. Sorry for the sporatic posts - we have been off and travelling again and just got home last week so our attention has returned to finishing our home. We have had our keys for exactly 12 months and are still yet to finish what the builder started. We were invited to enter the HIA awards this year but since we have been overseas we thought it might be just a bit too much on our plates! Exciting news is that we are finally getting flooring in a week or so - decided on bamboo in the end. Anyway what is an update without any pics, here are some of our 95% complete outdoor kitchen. Since getting keys, I've discovered life again too, so I can understand why you've become distracted now! kellie_87 Wowwwww Asha that outdoor kitchen is to die for!! A big belated thank you for everyones lovely comments. Bouquet25 we installed most of it ourselves so not much help to you - sorry. Have been awol again - unfortunately had a few hiccups build related that took the wind out of our sails. 1st our exposed agg pathway to the front of house was a dodg.ee mix and ended up having to be jack hammered up and repoured and secondly our bamboo floors have been installed and are C.R.A.P. We are awaiting a report from an inspector on where we go to next but they are truely terrible, they have expanded so much that we have had to pull boards up to release pressure off the walls, they click at night when you walk on them and they are cupping ?? Fingers crossed we get a resolution soon!
