Will follow your build Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 71Apr 10, 2014 2:39 am whoop how damn exciting!! Con'tap'ulations hahahahah (I see everyone say conslabulations).... Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 72Apr 11, 2014 10:17 pm Just an update on latest round of changes (hopefully the last) : Waterfall ends are back in - hubby won this one. Kitchen island shrunk - had to go from 500mm overhang to 300mm due to lack of support. Upgraded to panel doors instead of standard and chickened out of having them painted to match walls - will now be dulux vivid white. Also a decision on flooring has finally been made - sticking with what we know and going solid marri timber. asha Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 73Apr 11, 2014 10:50 pm Ooohhh I love marri flooring! You think you will change your minds again on something else lol? I was going to chicken out of the doors being painted ghosting but if I hate it I will change them to white but I figure why not! Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 74Apr 11, 2014 11:04 pm Hopefully no more changes. Have spent the last few days just going over final plans and fine tuning them. I would of left the doors ghosting but I am absolutely crap at painting gloss door frames if I didnt like them - give me walls any day. I will probably see yours and kick myself tho Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 75Apr 12, 2014 12:19 am Marri - Divine!!! We want that in our bedrooms. What grade are you going for? Can't wait to see pics! Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 76Apr 12, 2014 12:30 am trixee Marri - Divine!!! We want that in our bedrooms. What grade are you going for? Can't wait to see pics! Haha I cant wait to have pics to show you although it is exactly what we had last time - standard and better grade with water based finish so it doesn't go too orangy. Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 77Apr 12, 2014 12:34 am Ooh, hadn't even thought about the finish. What are the factors that make it look orangy! Good point though, will be sure to mention it! Re: Asha's build in Leschenault - Home Group WA 78Apr 12, 2014 1:01 am The two most common finishes are polyurethane and water based. We have had both finishes in the last place courtesy of a flooded dishwasher. Originally we went high gloss poly - was gorgeous but went really really orange. It is a lot more durable though. I think ib prefer the lighter colour The last home I lived in didn't have a pool and when i went to sell it the agents were not happy, even telling me to put one in to sell the place.
