Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 31, 2014 10:38 pm im just wondering if anyone dealt or currently dealing with these blokes before? any comment will be appreciated Re: anyone built or building with bellmarch ? 2Feb 13, 2014 4:46 pm I'm interested to know too. They don't seem to be mentioned much. We like one of their plans but we aren't sure of the quality of their work as they don't have many display homes. Would appreciate if anyone can provide some feedback. Thanks Re: anyone built or building with bellmarch ? 3Oct 12, 2014 1:12 pm Hi, we have signed with Bellmarch back in July 2014. Dealing with Trevor and The Ponds. Being very helpful so far. We hope to start building in December. My sister has also just signed with them. i found them for accommodating with what we wanted and made alot of changes Re: anyone built or building with bellmarch ? 4Nov 04, 2014 1:06 pm Hi Memorial, have they started building yet? Im also building with them (double storey), they have told me I would have a roof on before xmas, but with approx 7 weeks left in the year I am doubtful they will even start. So were really disappointed. Re: anyone built or building with bellmarch ? 6Nov 21, 2014 10:56 am BrandonZoe Hi Memorial, have they started building yet? Hi, I have been given the same time frame, 32 weeks, but was told by the CA that they are completeing homes in 26 weeks. I usually take these comments with a grain of salt. Aurora Ponds, Have your build started yet? I just recently got a letter informing their shutdown period starting 19th of December, 5 weeks shutdown. Re: anyone built or building with bellmarch ? 8Nov 21, 2014 11:24 am MEMORIAL Hi, no, my sister nor myself have started to build yet. Just waiting on the draftsman to do some final adjustments. What design did you go with? We went with a modified California 18 MK2 integrated living. I will have inlaws living with us to help share costs, and so a seperate area for them is a must. I have not got any letter. Re: anyone built or building with bellmarch ? 10Nov 21, 2014 1:08 pm Aurora Ponds Not yet. According to them End of Jan 15. I have not got any letter. Oh. Their shutdown period is from the 19/12/14 to 19/1/15. So the shutdown period wont affect your start date or build, so maybe they didnt bother to send a letter informing you. I am doing Parkview as my lot is narrow. Bellmarch offering good prices for narrow lots. I was slapped with $7500 fee variation after the survey. How about you? Re: anyone built or building with bellmarch ? 12Nov 21, 2014 1:49 pm I went with the pioneer facade. I was slapped with a variation as well, a really big one because we didnt start construction during the tender period. Not happy, was just sent a variation noticed with out much explanation. We had to pay, I cant remember the exact figures of my head the difference in price of the base and new cost of the house, approx $10k, then another $5k for cost of all other trades/items etc. It feels like we have been penalised for their delays in getting approvals, we are at the stage were we are waiting final approval from our bank, but Bellmarch seems keen now to push us signing the final consolidation papers before we even get bank approval. They are threathening to charge us extra increases if we dont sign in a weeks time. Which means our bank had only 2 weeks to do this, yet they had 9 months to get approvals but apparently delays are not their fault. Sorry for the rant.. Re: anyone built or building with bellmarch ? 13Nov 29, 2014 9:34 am We got a letter regarding the closure period. 5 weeks is longer then i thought most companies do. I find the slowest part is when the draftsman draws it up. ( took 3 weeks last time) we have gone with a a VERY modifed Illonosis home. It has ended up being in total 50sqs. Compared to other project homes, Bellmarch were the most accomodating to our changes and havent been pushing with the extras... Re: anyone built or building with bellmarch ? 14Mar 11, 2015 11:47 pm Very Slow company to process paper work. I have signed the contract with Bellmarch in September after the land registration. Received the council approval in Januray. Today 12/3/15 still no construction. They blamed Xmas clourse I think they will try to blame Easter for next delay. Bellmarch needs 3 months to go from one stage to other. Bellmarch says it takes 12 months to build the house. See their slowness of processing documents. Very poor Bellmarch. Just paying for empty land. No cost savings from choosing Bellmarch. I just want to update construction. It is 12/5/15 they have done the slab. It took 8 weeks for it. I was given the completion time until 23/12/15. I paid the first instalment to sign the tender August 2014. Terribly slow company. Re: anyone built or building with bellmarch ? 15Nov 09, 2015 12:44 pm Do not go near this company. Over an year since I sign the tender, i have not received the key as yet today 09/11/2015. Every time I query about the delay. I got abusive calls & emails from so called administrative manager(owner's son). Take notice 'Don't fool by the salesman's tricks' talk to people who had experience of this low class company. Re: anyone built or building with bellmarch ? 16Dec 31, 2015 7:10 am Hi Alexav, just curious to see if you have the keys now? We were told lock up before xmas, but the roof tiler is 4 weeks behind schedule. I dont know why they have to use boral contractors and slow everything down. We got our slab put down Aug 20th 2014. Expected to receive the keys mid feb ... but I am honestly thinking april Re: anyone built or building with bellmarch ? 17Dec 31, 2015 8:34 am MEMORIAL Hi Alexav, just curious to see if you have the keys now? It was major anything else minor faults should have been corrected before handover. Re: anyone built or building with bellmarch ? 18Apr 18, 2016 11:33 am I am building at Minto One. We got so many nasty surprised invoices to pay - too many hidden costs; paid around 30K extra. The construction started during first week of September 2015 till no sign of completion (8 months now). I have lost confidence on Bellmarch, now got so frustrated because they might be sending another invoice tomorrow asking to pay few more grands!! Now we know few dozens other house owners building on the same road we are; we always share our building experiences - what I found is every other builders are saint compare to Bellmarch. I know three (03) other people building with Bellmarch having the same experience as mine. Please share your experience. Hi All, we are starting to think of building with Masterpiece Builders in Victoria, has anyone had any feedback or experience with them 0 13603 I haven’t. But have a Lowe Design home.
