The excess sand at the back of the land has been cleared (after the bricks were finished they came back and dug the back up to put soakwells in as they didnt do it before the bricks started which left big sand piles everywhere), guttering and down pipes are in and the missing bit of concrete slab around the garage door has been filled in today. Just waiting for the second GPO's in the spare bedrooms to be chased as they only chased in for the standard electrical in those rooms (must have been going off an old electrical plan). So here are a couple of photos. The fascia and guttering finished around the alfresco Close up of all the final exterior colours for the sides and back of house (front of house will be fully rendered) - the eaves are going to be painted a standard magnolia colour. Bricks are Austral Mundaring Red, Fascia is Colorbond Dune (the main roof will also be this colour), Gutters are Colorbond Gully and the down pipes are Colorbond Manor Red. Re: Celebration Homes - Lennox - Roof halfway there! 109May 06, 2014 10:10 pm Hi mr singh, we haven't been given a schedule of works but our construction coordinator has let us know the house is due to be finished around August. As progress is very quick at the moment I don't mind not having an exact timeline. Went to have a look at the house tonight and the metal for the roof has arrived! Got a bit of a shock as the label on the metal says it is Stratco Birch which is a substitute for Colorbond Dune. Has anyone else had Stratco metal instead of Colorbond metal? Well I'm sure it will be OK, a roof is a roof after all. I really like your brick choice. Looks like the brickies have mixed the colours well. Is it the metal sheeting that's arrived? How will you have a Colorbond moment with a Stratco roof? And to fancy pants and mrsparker for the nice comments Had a drive by today and look what I saw!!! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is only a picture from the back of the house and didnt go any closer as there were still people working on the roof and didnt want to distract them. Went back tonight in the pouring rain and dark and the roof is nearly done, just a couple of finishing trims here and there but essentially its finished! In one day! They have also added in the electrical cable for the missing gpo's in the spare bedrooms, finished all the data cabling, finished all the electrical cable for the rest of the house (internal and external lights and all gpo's) done the pipes for the gas, done the pipes for the water, run the NBN conduit from the meter to the garage next to all the data cables, and even started getting all the mixers put in for the showers and the taps. Cant believe how fast its all going! Will go tomorrow and hopefully get some good pictures (and for the first time, be dry when walking around the house if it rains!) He was talking about a handover date in July!!! Here's a couple of pics of the almost finished roof - apparently it was a bit too windy to be up on the roof today, but all the internal plumbing, pipe work and electrics got done today. So many cables running through the roof! That is awesome!!!! Loving the bricks with the roof colour. I'm starting to regret getting a dark roof. I love darker roofs as well, we were originally going to go for the Woodland Grey colorbond but went for Dune as we liked it on a show home and could see it with the render colours we liked in person. Re: Celebration Homes - Lennox - Front Render and Plastering 119May 15, 2014 7:01 am Thanks AshShep Went along last night (in the dark! These dark and cold nights are starting to get annoying now! ) to have a look at the house and all the render on the front has been finished and they have started on the grey float plastering inside. Cant believe how different the house looks now the render is on and you can see the different profiles of the feature render around the windows against the normal render. Pictures to follow at the weekend.
