Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 28, 2014 5:22 pm Hello fellow Homeone users, After using this forum as a tool for many months to learn about building our first home, we have taken the plunge and purchased a block in Halls Head. Very early days at this stage, but after a lot of reading have decided to get our site prep and earthworks done independently of the builder to save on our site costs. We have an old block that will need all areas of site preparation including tree removal, connection of all services, retaining and levelling ready for the slab to go down. Any businesses out there or people with experience in the Mandurah/Halls Head area who can recommend a company that can do this for us? Any advice much appreciated Thanks. Put a hold on our land May last year, and signed up with Goodlife Homes (part of Gemmill) and our house is actually all Gemmill built. Even our prestart was Gemmill. We are so happy so far, our brickwork has been completed in 13 days - and such good work too! We are currently waiting for a roof. Happy to answer any Q's and help along the way, its amazing what you pick up from other peoples experiences Sarah Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog I'll look into different shower heads and ask the plumber about some engineering and see what he says. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 12989 |
