Haven't started building yet, waiting for our contract. How long has your build taken? The houses seem to be going up really quickly!! You're on the opposite side of the park to us. We signed prelim stuff in November, colour selections December, formal contract signing in early January and then had a delay with our bank (didn't get formal approval until early March). Council took about 3 weeks and then another couple of weeks messing around with paperwork and signing off on selections. Site was cut 9th May and slab poured a little over a week later. Since then they've been moving pretty quickly. All the stages are detailed in our blog Hopefully things progress quickly for you. I've noticed quite a few Clarendon homes going in at the moment and they all seem to be moving pretty quickly. :-D Modified Miami 31- Brighton Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=91265&f=31&p=1789112#p1789112 Re: Gainsborough Greens Pimpama 8Jul 04, 2014 3:33 pm You're on the opposite side of the park to us. Our tender was 3 weeks ago, they said the contracts would take about 4-5 weeks to come back, and the selections appointment would be after that. would it be better to do that before we sign contract so that any upgrades were included in our valuation by the bank? Not sure, perhaps all builders do it differently. Our builder did all the selections prior to contract as they provide a fixed price contract and if we needed/wanted to upgrade anything then this had to be included in our fixed price. As we were supplying our own appliances we also needed to have the quotes for these organised so that it could be submitted to the bank with the rest of the documents and it could then be funded by our loan. Our land came back undervalued by 7k (that was after we got 10k off from Mirvac) but our build valuation came back spot on. :-D Modified Miami 31- Brighton Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=91265&f=31&p=1789112#p1789112 Re: Gainsborough Greens Pimpama 10Jul 16, 2014 12:52 am can anyone suggest a company to do our front hardwood fence? :-D Modified Miami 31- Brighton Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=91265&f=31&p=1789112#p1789112 Re: Gainsborough Greens Pimpama 12Mar 14, 2016 7:02 pm Hi @aussy, We're still living in here and still loving it!
