My build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=68002 Re: First Build in Jane Brook with Home Group WA 66Aug 28, 2014 6:45 pm Yayyyyyyy the wait is over!!!!! Very exciting!!! Re: First Build in Jane Brook with Home Group WA 67Aug 29, 2014 12:15 pm Went down last night (Day 3) and I stepped in wet cement. I NEED to get some gumboots!! Haha No pictures, they turned out way too dark! But the front bedroom and front door are both done. At this rate it should only take another two weeks til finish (here's hoping!) I hope this bad weather doesn't bring anything down! Will visit on the weekend and get some clear shots of everything It's SO nice to finally see everything happening! Re: First Build in Jane Brook with Home Group WA 68Aug 30, 2014 4:18 pm Congrats Holly and Callum what an exciting time! Yes we invested in some cheap (but still cute) gum boots from spend less. Great you could still see it and get pics in the daylight too. Re: First Build in Jane Brook with Home Group WA 69Sep 07, 2014 10:33 am I'm falling behind with the updates! Sorry! I have a brick meeting on Thursday morning to see how it's all going - secretly I'm hoping they will almost be finished! They've just started on the internal walls. One side of the house is completely done (outside and inside bricks are done)!!! The other side, which is the garage side is only half-ish done. I'll post some pics xo Re: First Build in Jane Brook with Home Group WA 71Sep 07, 2014 10:43 am http://i1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj508/HollyCallum/29678F89-B640-4A59-AD18-943A3FBE0921_zpsspfmwice.jpg http://i1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj508/HollyCallum/39DB81E2-AF6C-4E75-8B6D-A69F31EBFB13_zpsisjdc2ye.jpg http://i1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj508/HollyCallum/2BD3EAA5-F01D-4DD2-82EB-1D4108385D9D_zpsbxqr79x0.jpg http://i1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj508/HollyCallum/B82FE795-DF49-4E62-93DC-1B1D4F0A803E_zpsnbx7svbc.jpg Re: First Build in Jane Brook with Home Group WA 72Sep 07, 2014 10:47 am I'll get some pics of the little bit of internal work they've done this arvo. I'm hoping another week will finish the bricks off but it all depends on the weather I suppose! Also quick question.. Did anybody else notice if their tap was left on over night? I noticed mine was one evening and quickly switched it off! I emailed our CLO and she was great in getting it all fixed but it does make you wonder :/ Re: First Build in Jane Brook with Home Group WA 73Sep 08, 2014 11:38 am Hi holly+callum Just posting to subscribe to your build journey. Your house is looking great so far! If at any point you need any assistance, please get in touch with me and I will do my best to put you in touch with the right person here at HGWA. Cheers, Dylan Re: First Build in Jane Brook with Home Group WA 74Sep 12, 2014 9:38 pm No pictures yet... Weather has not been kind this week! We have one brickie. One is better than none, but not the team of four we were expecting. He seems very nice and hopes to finish by the end of next week. We had a couple of door frames stolen which has put him behind. We had our brick meeting on Thursday and it went well but I've been told it'll be another six to seven month wait at the least. I'm finding it really difficult to remain enthused by it all when the wait has been so so long. I'm whinging a bit here because I know lots of people are all going through the same thing! Fingers are crossed for a sunny day on Sunday when we take some family for a visit! And I'll promise to have photos up then! Re: Jane Brook HGWA - Brick Pictures and update 75Sep 14, 2014 7:19 pm As promised here are some decent pics! I've been updating my little house plan with each visit as to see how much there is left to do. The yellow has been done, so there isnt too much left to do. The biggest part is the inside walls on the right side of the house which hasn't been done yet. Fingers crossed for a finish by the end of this week!! http://i1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj508/HollyCallum/330_zpse64ff9a8.jpg http://i1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj508/HollyCallum/324_zps9c5dea8e.jpg Bedrooms and laundry http://i1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj508/HollyCallum/325_zps9c1c9ef5.jpg Front door looking in http://i1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj508/HollyCallum/327_zps0c31936a.jpg Garage http://i1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj508/HollyCallum/329_zpsb6265897.jpg Outside looking in Re: First Build in Jane Brook with Home Group WA - TIMELINE 76Sep 14, 2014 7:46 pm TIMELINE 10th July - Signed with HGWA 13th July 2013 - Offer on block 20th Decemeber 2013 - Titles Released 14th January 2014 - Settlement 17th March - Pre start 30th May - Earthworks 11th June - Slab 25th August - Bricklayers started Re: First Build in Jane Brook with Home Group WA 77Sep 14, 2014 10:54 pm Looking great!!! Not long and it will be roof time! Bricks finish and timber delivered! 78Sep 26, 2014 5:00 pm Brick work has finished! There has been a site clean and timber was delivered yesterday. I don't get any updates from our CLO unless I ask - is this normal for everyone else? Also had a couple of unsavoury incidences but hopefully that won't continue since the brick layers have now finished! Fingers crossed HG stick to the schedule this time and everything goes smoothly! Congrats on brickwork being finished Nope your are not alone never get any updates at all from anyone unless we make contact, even then the emails are sometimes ignored. Only time we get anything is when it's a progress payment invoice from them. Don't even have a schedule of works that need to be done and in what order. Re: First Build in Jane Brook with Home Group WA 80Sep 26, 2014 5:13 pm Glad I'm not alone Belzey! But at the same time it would be nice to have a few updates from someone every once in a while wouldn't it? Same thing with me - progress payments and computer generated emails. We did get a "schedule" of sorts for the roof structure - an idea of how things should go I suppose (timber, electrics, gas, colour bond etc). At least that's something ha! A quick update, we didn't have site start before Easter. Summit can't seem to give me a day when they are scheduled to begin, so I'm left with a vague "within 10-20… 4 26705 4 14389 hi guys.
