Did you stay with the standard 14kw Panasonic aircon unit? I am unsure if I want to pay the extra 1200 for daikin but we have that now and it's amazing! Also did it cost you extra for round vents Re: Kelly & Troy's Home Group more black haha!! 2802Nov 24, 2015 9:54 pm Rache Haha I was just thinking everything you touch turns to black!!! Dont know how you get away with it but you really do...looks amazing! Thanks rache xx Natalie92 Belzey not sure if you will see this in time as I have to submit plans tomorrow for aircon. Also did it cost you extra for round vents Hey Nat, we have a Samsung and I cannot remember for the life of me what kW it is....yeah we paid to upgrade to round vents, put in extra zones and a touchpad think it was around $1700 Kelly & Troy's Home Group more black haha!! 2803Nov 24, 2015 9:58 pm Ok awesome thank you so much they said we get a Samsung but have upgraded all new builds now to panasonic and I can pay $1300 to upgrade to daikin and then I need to spend another $1000-1200 on zoning upgrade ducting and also keypad or I can stay standard and get everything I need upgraded for $1200 Are you happy with how yours cools and heats your home Re: Kelly & Troy's Home Group more black haha!! 2804Nov 25, 2015 12:30 am Hey Nat we keep it on around 23 and it seems to do a pretty decent job. Talking to the ford and doonan man he said out of all the brands he sells Samsung had the least amount if call outs for faults hence why we just stuck with it. Only thing is I wish it blew air more like a evaporative does, these things seem to just hold the temp and not blow lol (and I like air circulation so use fans as well). Re: Kelly & Troy's Home Group more black haha!! 2805Nov 25, 2015 9:14 am Daikin is amazing!! We have it up here and I love it! Maybe it's worth asking if it has a better energy efficiency compared to the other brand? Because that extra $1200 might be worth it in the long run when it comes to power bills. Our dream home viewtopic.php?t=75306 Thanks belzey I know what you mean with the air it just cools the place without a breeze I love having a breeze go through the house on cooler days and we have fans in our bedrooms now and my partner always sleeps with it on Did the research on that too Cara not really much difference at all the Panasonic was actually better for efficiency but it's hard as we have daikin now and it's amazing so I don't know any Different lol I just don't think it will be worth an extra $1300 but then we might move in and regret it lol Re: Kelly & Troy's Home Group more black haha!! 2807Nov 25, 2015 10:01 am Stick with the Panasonic then. Ducted is expensive to run so if the Panasonic has better efficiency I would stick with that one. I doubt the brand name would add more value to the house so spend the $1300 elsewhere. So I agree I would spend the $s elsewhere I sleep with a fan on too, even in winter haha! Merry Christmas to you all, hope the break isn't too long for you all so that your builds can all continue lol! Re: Kelly & Troy's Home Group more black haha!! 2819Dec 22, 2015 6:46 pm Merry Christmas to you too Kel. They sound like they are cutting it fine for the awards lol. Our house is now at a stand still (like most now I would imagine) until the 11th Cheers, Paul (& Lisa) Parkhill 36 by ClarendonHomes in Coomera Retreat H1 Build Thread And Blog Building Blogs List - Go Ahead And Add Yours!! Our house is now at a stand still (like most now I would imagine) until the 11th I think they are idiots....we have had no maintenance done on our house for months now and then they want to rush it all through in a week! Good luck to them, their maintenance side has really let them down big time! Yeah the Christmas break sucks during your build but I found after the break our house just flew along! 4 14407 We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds.
