Also I'm planning on finally moving my bedroom up to the house this weekend haha! A little nervous for the official big move though! First Build, Commodore Homes, Alkimos Beach. Feels so good to sleep in my own bed at my own place! I'm also pumped on how my bedroom/robe came up. This week I hope to finally have my big TV mounted, hopefully in time for the Freo game on Friday night! Also feeling a lot more secure now that the fences are in as well as getting a more homely feeling as the yard is now enclosed if that makes any more sense. Speak of, front landscaping is in the pipeline. I received the letter from the estate saying they've received my submission and its now on me to get in contact with them to plan what design I want and from there it will be done pretty quickly, with my goal being to complete the backyard as well in time for summer. Is your bed a queen or king? Fits perfect on that wall! Your carpet looks so comfy Btw did your builder supply light globes when you moved in? Queen bed with about another 150mm wide frame surrounding the edges, then the bedsides are both 600mm wide and the whole lot justttt fits as you can see Hope that gives you a realstic idea of the space you can expect to have in yours! And the carpet is soo comfy! Supplied the globes myself - Philips Tornado 20W from memory. First Build, Commodore Homes, Alkimos Beach. Our bed is king so hopefully doesn't look too squishy! Bet you can't wait for the landscaping to be done, have you started anything out the back? Or know what you're going to do? Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Commodore Homes, Alkimos Beach - Moved in! 917Sep 22, 2015 5:45 pm Haha yes definitely get globes before moving in! And do yourself the favour of counting how many you need before going shopping as I can just about guarantee that it will be many more than you think! I think a king bed will look sweet but you'll likely need to compensate with the size of your bed side tables. I think my bed head measures in at around 2.3m wide if that at all helps? Yeah definitely looking forward to that. Nothing started yet though. Planning the backyard at the moment but still not settled on a set idea. Maybe just something cheap and basic with mostly grass for the moment just to seal it and get it useable, then build on that as time goes on. First Build, Commodore Homes, Alkimos Beach. Light globes cost way more than I thought too! I just checked our bed frame measurements (h) 108 x (d) 224 x (w) 192 cm so should be ok, we aren't putting it along the WIR wall although that is where I wanted to put it originally! Yeah just basic sounds good to me! Sounds a lot easier too, live in it for a while and work out what you really need in the space Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Commodore Homes, Alkimos Beach - Moved in! 920Sep 22, 2015 10:43 pm Hooray for moving in BS12!
