Well we had PRE-START today and am happy its over so onwards and upwards.
A few changes and additions and as others have found a few unreal prices too.
Outside we removed the Alfresco paving as the charge to relocate it wasn't worth it so will deal with that after handover. Also found out that light globes aren't included - What the ...? Who is going to take a globe that's getting hotter to every light point plug it in and undo it to go to the next?
Added tap mixers to the bathroom and 2 in the ensuite to go with the double sink upgrade and moved the laundry door closer to the kitchen end of the laundry.
Double plug to pantry above bench for microwave and another double to the end of the rear kitchen bench for "stuff" and another double in theatre room at rear for surround sound wireless speaker setup, a double in entrance hallway by internal garage door for the vacuum etc and a two way switch for the entrance lights.
Quadruple plug above my work bench space to be shared with the "bloody" NBN box and another double plug at the front of garage for Xmas lights etc.
Put extra plugs by both TV connections @ 1500mm high to be hidden by TV with a couple of conduits for HDMI cables etc.
Yet another double plug in the hallway by bedrooms for vacuum again and double sliding mirrored robes to the kids bedrooms.
Wife has got overhead kitchen cabinets and cabinets under bench on back wall in Crystall White and the island bench in Idyllic and has made her day(thought it was one colour choice only) with Osprey Caesarstone bench top.
We have moonstone tiling through all wet areas and for the ensuite cabinets we have chosen Lustrous Elm and in bathroom going with Habitat & in laundry going with Sarum Strand all with Fresh Snow Laminex bench tops so a sort of greyish tone through wet areas.
Both showers are tiled in Lanka gloss white 200x 400mm with Fashion cocoa & fashion flute ember as feature tiles.
Carpet throughout is called expo stonehenge 9 which is close to the wet areas tiling colour and is standard and will do for us. We were asked what colour doors internally and door frames and I said white please- WELL there is no just "white" so after buggering around with a few samples chose Feather Dawn and Smoke Pearl for our front doors.
Have gone with Dune as the main render colour and Caribou for feature render colour. Selected the double front entrance doors to maximise the entrance hallway for furniture etc and when $$$ allows will replace with some fancy "Jarrah style" doors.
Main tile for living area is Natures Dewdrop in 400mm x 400mm.
Also another PITA is they WONT put the manhole in the garage as it will void insurance because garage door goes on last and anyone will be able to break in to house after "lock up" so had to relocate to WIL.
Hope I've not bored anyone as this is just a list of things I remembered and have a few other things but won't bother including them here.
CLO said she'd send email of tile and cupboard selections so will be nice to see that recorded.
Chugging along on our land but still don't know if they are on track with timetable set for April/May.
