Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Knockdown/rebuild with Rawson - Metford33 61May 18, 2016 3:19 pm Great to follow your progress here - we built the Metford 28 over 18months ago now and was just going through the forums again and saw this thread. Funnily enough we had the bricks go up before the roofing too but another Rawson home that was being built around the same time as mine had it done the other way around - its probably just a matter of scheduling. I wish we'd had the space to build the 33 but we're more than happy with our 28. http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Knockdown/rebuild with Rawson - Metford33 62Jul 02, 2016 6:33 pm Hey, Ezza, how is your build coming along? We are up to internal linings. We are at the fit out stage now. The painters are finishing up the internals and will start on the outside next week while the plumbers and sparkies fit out carpet is booked for 20th july. Bring it on! I just checked in on your thread, sounds like things are chugging along nicely Re: Knockdown/rebuild with Rawson - Metford33 64Jul 02, 2016 6:44 pm How fantastic! What great progress you're making. Not too long and you'll be in your Metford! How exciting to see all of your colour selections coming together. Love the marble tile in your en suite. Looks great against the dark floor. Not happy Jan!! Nothing to do with Rawson. Only stuff to go is the carpet and driveway and it's done. So frustrating to have to delay hand over until ACTEW get their act together Re: Knockdown/rebuild with Rawson - Metford33 71Jul 28, 2016 6:40 pm Well looks like we are tracking similar to everyone else. Painter has finished the walls and doors and just has to stain some of our wooden doors. They've also started to box up the driveway to concrete it soon hopefully! Anyone know what else is to happen after the plumbers and electricians do the fit out other than carpet to go in? We've been told mid sept for completion but can't see all this taking another 6 weeks?! - M33M Re: Knockdown/rebuild with Rawson - Metford33 72Jul 30, 2016 11:41 am Oh, Ezza, that's heartbreaking! Bloody hell. The whole block has to be turned off? Aiyeee M33M, good progress on your build. We think we are at lock-up (haven't been past the house this week yet), so a few weeks behind you guys. Are you planning to move in this weekend or are there post-handover things you need to get done first? Bet you're itching to just be IN! Knockdown/rebuild with Rawson - Metford33 77Aug 18, 2016 9:22 am Woohoo Ezza! Our SS told us next Friday for our walk through (not locked in yet though) and hopefully handover after any issues fixed up too! Just curious if by the walk through, everything should be completed, as by the sounds of it there may still be a few little things to do by next Friday? I guess it's not a big deal as long as by handover we just ensure all those things that weren't completed by the walk through are done by then? We're all getting closer to our beautiful new homes! ?? - M33M Re: Knockdown/rebuild with Rawson - Metford33 78Aug 29, 2016 9:41 pm Hi all, we are booked in for walk through on Wednesday 31st Aug! ? Hoping for moving weekend to be the 10th Sept so we can get settled in before my due date of 1st Oct Our driveway was laid the other day and happy with it but not sure about this extra footpath they've laid in front of our porch should we also get this tiled to match the porch? I think we do have some porch tiles leftover. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ - M33M Re: Knockdown/rebuild with Rawson - Metford33 79Aug 29, 2016 9:53 pm Congratulations! How exciting! So close. I see you've got your shutters installed. We've had ours measured up but won't be able to get them installed until after handover. They look lovely That front path is weird! Did it show on the plans? I must go and check mine - I would be pretty unhappy with the result TBH as I am planning on planting in front of our porch! I do hope you make it into the house before bubs comes Building a customised Metford 33 with Rawson Homes in Canberra Build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76866 Blog: https://canberragalsmetford.wordpress.com/ Re: Knockdown/rebuild with Rawson - Metford33 80Aug 29, 2016 10:03 pm metford33mumma Hi all, we are booked in for walk through on Wednesday 31st Aug! ?
