Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 11, 2014 11:14 am What size is generally standard? We are getting down to final contract stage, but our plan was not a display, and trying to get a good visual on our kitchen dimensions, our width is about 1.5m walking space, does that sound small? And about 3 long plus cupboards Re: Kitchen 3Jan 11, 2014 3:27 pm Hi, just take a visit to a display centre with your measurements and take a look. Any island bench over 1200mm wide is a good size an will still allow for a sink. 3000mm long is a great length but even somewhere down to 2500mm is good. between 1200mm min to 1500mm max I would think between benches but like I said, just take a look at other homes. Re: Kitchen 4Jan 11, 2014 10:49 pm Thanks, sounds like it'll be fine, I think it will be, hubby wasn't so sure, I don't think it's huge, but think it's still a good size, and you should see my WIP!!! It's a room in itself! Yet to figure out how to post a snapshot of it, I'm not keen on uploading my whole house plan No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6626 2 4669 that will depend on the kitchen bench depth. you'll have to specify it so it allows for both the tap and the sink 1 7379 |
