Hiya Chaden6 thanks yes our Bricks are Austral [Chestnut] Access.. They dont have any orange .. it may just be the lighting and that the bricks were yet to be cleaned. Have you started building? We are leaning with chestnut or truffle. But i am happy to go with chestnut as i don't want to pay more in my bricks. Chestnut looks awesome. Do you mind if i asks where abouts are you building? I am building in Southeast, Berwick Waters. Quite far, just happy to check the colour of the bricks. Do you know where i can go and have a drive to check any chestnut bricks in my area? thanks a lot. Hiya Carlisle colour studio is excellent .. We went there for a walk through when we were sourcing builders . Chestnut is a nice colour if you don't have to pay extra .. If you go to one of the austral display centre and ask them for some address in your area then do you can go have a look .. That's what we did before we picked ours .. I am all the way on the opposite site of you - west so may be little far ... I hope he gives you a date.... My has all of his written down on a piece of paper! Hey Dsbiild .. My island bench is 2400wide x 1070 depth ..with Cuboards in either side .. Only paid extra for the 400mm stone bench and waterfall .. My home custom so it maybe diff ., does Burbank offer this in their homes ? What size is yours ?? Ya you can always do render later .. I ask the render guy how much he charges ... So your looking about $50-$60 metres .. Trambay gave me advise to be nice and polite to Ss .. Maybe that help and he give me the date Re: Burbank Custom DS- Glass Splashback and Full Face Render 235Jun 24, 2014 10:29 pm Mine is big because it is one of the things I changed. I re - designed the kitchen a bit, so I would have more bench space and cupboards vs a bare wall in my kitchen. My bench is 2500 wide and 1300 deep. Similar in size. I also relocated the sink so it is not on the island bench. The price for the render is about the same as what Burbank was offering. So how did you go with your SS... We changed so the sink to the island bench was not facing directly to the oven on opposite side ( apparently bad feng shui for some reason according to my mum ) I thought Burbank was charging $75 Well yest walk through was what I expected .. He would not give me a 'DATE' but did managed to get approx 6 -8 weeks completion ? Re: Burbank Custom DS- Glass Splashback and Full Face Render 237Jun 25, 2014 5:57 pm Week 25- Fix Inspection & Painting Commences !! Mon 23 Jun - Sun 29 Jun 2014 Besides Painters being at the house pretty much the whole week I thought I post an update early this week so I can provide you an update of my Walk through inspection and show you some paint work Highlight of the week:- - Fix inspection Walk through - Painting - Garage Roof scaffold down - Brick overhang refill - Missing Downpipes fixed - Downpipe connected to stormwater system - Stainless steel balcony balustrade fitted Mon 23 Jun - Walk Through Inspection and first coat of paint - Day 124 Today was the day we finally meet the building SS where we got to go through the home with him and point out some of the issues, which of course I came to the appointment with my defect /checklist. Talk about taking work serious, besides just talking about the home and our concerns I really had a hard time establishing a friendly rapport with him. Therefore, you can image no matter how hard I tried just couldn't get 'THE DATE" off him but I did however, managed to get a rough tentative (between 6-8 weeks handover date) so is it 08/08/2014 or 15/08/2014 the day???? At the walk through we managed to catch the painters on sight so was able to snap up some photos of the first coat of the ceiling and wall paint Just amazing how just abit of paint can brighten up the house soooooooooo much Also just a note for you all, I also just found out that Burbank DOES NOT paint the Steel Lintel above the Windows and Garage Beams.. this was not mentioned nor offered to us at colour appointment. So for those that have not signed, might be worth mentioning or considering this done part of your tender. A little annoying but only found out now ::frown:: Lucky for us though, we manged to get a deal done directly with the Painter that was on sight . He said will do it together and same colour as our Meter BOX. One thing less I have to be worry about after move in that's for sure specially with this wet weather!!! Tue 24 Jun - Painting continues & brick overhanging FIXED - Day 125 After reading other post on Homeone, I thought I mentioned early to the SS the balcony brick pillar overhanging the SLAB before this gets picked up at Certificate of Occupancy inspection and delay us getting our occupancy permit. (Apparently there is a tolerance of 15mm but mine looks more than that) but SS was quick to get someone back on site to fix and fill this up Here is a photo of the Brick overhang (soil being dugged and refilled it with concrete) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And here is a photo of the garage slab being refilled ( a bit too short ?????)
