There may however be a slight difference between what you see on screen and what the final printout is. Stewie Re: New Colorbond Colours 25Feb 17, 2014 2:12 pm MDolley Does anybody have pictures of Gully and Wallaby? I am trying to get an idea of what these look like but can't find a lot of pictures around. Is there somewhere I could get samples? i picked up samples from Cosham (henley's colour selection center). may be worth checking with local Lysagth store for a sample. http://www.lysaght.com/tools/colour-cha ... bond-steel Re: New Colorbond Colours 26Feb 17, 2014 3:27 pm mirz may be worth checking with local Lysagth store for a sample. http://www.lysaght.com/tools/colour-cha ... bond-steel Great suggestion! Turns out there is a Lysaght about 5 minutes away from my work. Got a colour chart and some swatches. Re: New Colorbond Colours 27Feb 17, 2014 4:16 pm Our roof has started going up and it's in the new Wallaby colour. It's a fawny grey colour. Almost mushroomy. Thanks for the photo. Was originally looking at Gully because we liked it on screen. It is actually more green than I thought. I am liking Wallaby over Basalt. I think Wallaby has more character to it. Re: New Colorbond Colours 30Feb 17, 2014 7:28 pm mille32....I'm impressed you have a roof in the new colours. I'm still waiting for my samples! I have however specified the new colours for a builder in Mudgee and he is moving on with the build. So obviously builders are getting the samples faster than designers..... Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: New Colorbond Colours 31Feb 17, 2014 8:01 pm Michelle, I didn't actually request samples. I just winged it. Because my home is custom, I have pretty free flexibility of what I can choose so I was looking at all the new colours before the builder even know they had changed. I was a bit worried initially about wallaby being too dark or too brown but it turned out to be neither which I'm happy about. It would be awesome to have a sample to choose our garage door colour with but after looking at the chart online this afternoon I think I will be going with Dune as a compliment to Wallaby rather then what I had initially chosen which was Shale Grey. Just to add: Our builder ordered the roof on the 7th Feb and it took a week to arrive so it's not like he ordered the new colours months ago. Not having to request samples probably saved quite a bit of time on that front. I called them before our colours appointment and they confirmed that these colours were released last quarter of 2013 and there is absolutely no issue of stock. Re: New Colorbond Colours 33Feb 17, 2014 8:48 pm Yeah they're probably just overwhelmed with requests for the samples because everyone probably needs them to show clients. Obviously as per this thread, people are hesitant to choose a colour they can't see a sample for or see in real life. If I was with a volume builder at a colour appointment and they couldn't show me a sample I probably wouldn't have chosen from the new range. Dune is actually the most complimentary to Wallaby. I originally went with shale grey for the garage door but we're changing it to Dune. What will the rest of your front facade colours be?? Thanks Our Build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=72518 Re: New Colorbond Colours 37Jul 17, 2014 10:26 am Just wondering if anyone has used Gully as their roof colour?. I wanted Dune weatherboards with a Basalt roof but my husband likes Gully as a roof colour, any thoughts??? Thanks Loving our new home, Upper Hunter NSW on 2.5 acres Re: New Colorbond Colours 39Jul 20, 2014 9:04 pm We have basalt roof, down pipes and gutters with dune window frames and light coloured bricks. We are getting pale (off white) coloured weatherboard cladding to the front of the house too with basalt coloured posts on the front porch. There are some new pics on my thread which give a bit of an idea even though the facade isn't finished. We love the contrast of the basalt with the other lighter colours, especially because the basalt isn't so dark that the contrast is too stark. Re: New Colorbond Colours 40Jul 20, 2014 10:43 pm Danette Just wondering if anyone has used Gully as their roof colour?. I wanted Dune weatherboards with a Basalt roof but my husband likes Gully as a roof colour, any thoughts??? Thanks I've got my colours appointment tomorrow and I'm planning to select Gully as my roof, with Dune being a contender for the garage. I don't have color bond samples, but I got dulux paint card samples of colorbond colours from bunnings so if you go past one before you have to decide, pop in and get some yourself just in case there are no colorbond samples to check directly. For reference, Dune looks great next to Gully on my dulux sample cards. But the colorbond website says Basalt and Dune go well together too, so maybe see how each goes with your other choices? Colorbond puts Gully with dulux's grand piano for instances, and Basalt with Monument. I would say Gully has much more brown/green undertones and Basalt is explicitly lacking that green; its very much a true grey. Land settled May '14. From everyone's experience, what would you install? Timber lapped and capped OR colorbond? Thank you. 0 3073 You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 20615 |
