Depending on the area - a higher roof pitch will also mean higher wind resistance -and if that's already on the edge of the limts - it may extra again to strengthen it all to to support the additional windage. Our ceiling height is 2445mm on both levels. is it standard? I was under the impression that 22.5% roof pitch is the "standard" with 450mm wide eaves. Higher pitch roof plusses *Roof less likely to leak as water runs off quicker *More head in ceiling space *Can possibly create a real & usefull actic *Hot air in roof space further away from ceiling (cooler in summer) Higher pitch roof minuses *More expensive due to material costs *More difficult (and possiblly expensive) for trades to work on top of roof *Reduction in eaves width (unless you pay more again) Best Price Wardrobes Sliding door robes | Walk in robes Deco panel | Mirror | Melamine 26 to 28 Cottage lane Hackham M: 0402 927 376 http://www.bestpricewardrobes.com.au Trade welcome Re: roof pitch costs extra??? 18May 15, 2008 10:23 pm Standard ceiling height is (approx.) 2400mm/8ft or 2700mm/9ft Roof pitch clause 19Jun 15, 2008 3:36 pm I too have signed up with The Homebuyers Centre and ran into the 25° roof pitch issue.
