I am struggling to get this set up. Thanks Hit up the NBN co website and you can pull up a list of companies who are providing NBN services to the area. http://www.nbnco.com.au/connect-home-or ... vider.html You can go with any of the big names - iiNet, Telstra etc.. the one i'm looking at is SkyMesh. They have pretty good reviews, good pricing and good data allowances. Re: Take Two - Calleya WA - Waiting for roof tiles 668Oct 13, 2015 10:25 pm Seems like more people moving into their new house in Calleya. Saying hello to all my future Calleya neighbours. By the way, does anyone know when Stockland is going to construct the pedestrian path for people walking to the train station. Don't want to drive to the station before 7:30am to find a car park. Re: Take Two - Calleya WA - Waiting for roof tiles 669Oct 13, 2015 10:55 pm akmirror chadtyn akmirror Hi All, After 8 months of build process of our home in Calleya, looks like we will be finally moving in by the end of this month. The only bit that we are worried is having to live widout any neighbours as we will be the first ones to move in around our street. Fingers crossed, the neighbours can move in by the end of this year. Would be great to have some company. It was all so quiet when we drove around 8:00 p.m , the other night which is understandable but boy oh boy! it was bit frightening to be honest. Happy though that we will be moving in. The official opening for Calleya Community last Saturday was good fun though. Here's hoping all your builds are progressing well. Good luck aye! We should be in around the same time akmirror. Just made our final payment so should get keys this week . Do you have all your fencing in? We will be putting flooring in and will paint before we actually move in officially. Our first build - Calleya - HGWA viewtopic.php?t=76894 Hi chadtyn, Thats wonderful. We dont have the fencing done yet. Have not seen any movement. They did send an email stating it will be done before 21st October. Is there any prerequisite for fencing ? I hope we get it, otherwise we will have to live in widout fencing. By the way, can any one tell me what is the service provider for NBN around Calleya. I am struggling to get this set up. Thanks I was impressed with the fencing. Put my application in and the next week it was put up. Must have been good timing Re: Take Two - Calleya WA - Waiting for roof tiles 670Oct 20, 2015 11:54 am elemist akmirror By the way, can any one tell me what is the service provider for NBN around Calleya. I am going with Belong and see how their service will be...but am still waiting to hear for my NBN appointment to install the NBN gear. Saw your build photos...looking nice....gud luck Re: Take Two - Calleya - Roof Complete now for more waiting 671Oct 23, 2015 8:16 pm So nothing much happening on my site just for something different.. Plasterers who were supposed to start Monday/Tuesday this week were a no show. So now raising hell with anyone in the office that will listen, up to and including the CEO of BGC Residential. Pretty sad that you have to make those sorts of calls just to get a result. But here's hoping next week will show signs of things happening. Have a great weekend everyone! PS - for anyone reading this considering building with National Homes - DONT! (Run, run very fast in the other direction to pretty much any other builder in the country!) Re: Take Two - Calleya - Roof Complete now for more waiting 672Oct 23, 2015 9:56 pm OMG! How can they be so incompetent! You need to go straight to the top from now on. You've been patient enough. Our first build - Calleya - HGWA viewtopic.php?t=76894 Re: Take Two - Calleya - Roof Complete now for more waiting 673Oct 26, 2015 3:01 pm @elemist that is completely unacceptable. Very frustrating. Our build - Moved In! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79629 Re: Take Two - Calleya - Roof Complete now for more waiting 674Oct 26, 2015 3:05 pm As our estate is new many of the houses are not on google map. I have reported a data problem to google for my house and in general for Calleya. Hopefully we will see the houses and streets in coming days. There are maps maintained by Cockburn council, search your address. http://intermaps.cockburn.wa.gov.au/intramaps70/ApplicationEngine/Application.aspx?project=Cockburn& If you wish to add your house on google map you can do it by going to google maps on web > click Send feedback(located at the bottom) > report data problem. Select approximate location of your house and submit. They've completed an amazing amount of work in the past 3 weeks. Roof has been completed Front Rendering complete Internal Float (grey render) complete Ceilings complete (almost) Cornices complete White Set complete (almost) I believe lockup will go ahead this week, and cabinetry should start being installed. At last update, i should be in by February next year due to the delays with Christmas. Annoying, but at least there's progress and i would prefer it done properly than rushed to be in before. And now for some pictures! (Apologies in advance as there's quite a few!) The roof looks lovely and I have portico envy! Your house looks so spacious with the white set - and gosh the raked ceiling is FANTASTIC! I see they've fixed the niches too. Did they have any excuses for why there has been so many delays? Fingers crossed they'll keep up the pace now Re: Take Two - Calleya - Roof Complete now for more waiting 677Nov 14, 2015 10:29 pm MalSannie Wow elemist I'm so pleased for you that they're at last making some good progress on your build. Did they have any excuses for why there has been so many delays? Fingers crossed they'll keep up the pace now Hey MalSannie! I'm quite chuffed with how the portico turned out. Was a bit of a risk changing from the displayed version to something i couldn't physically go see, but i think it worked out for the best. Not really, i don't think there was any acceptable excuses they could use. Basically admitted they had dropped the ball, put a little bit of blame on my SS who left, and the temporary one after that. But new supervisor has been on the case for a few weeks rapidly booking things in, and also have a new CLO in the office who seems a little more on top of things. It's only been abotu 3 weeks now, but i think they've done more work in those 3 weeks than they have in the entire 7 months of construction. Time will tell if they can keep up the progress, fingers crossed! Re: Take Two - Calleya - Roof Complete now for more waiting 678Nov 18, 2015 11:06 pm WOW elemist, it's really coming along now. I love the portico and that ceiling OMG! It's going to look AMAZING when it's all done. Our first build - Calleya - HGWA viewtopic.php?t=76894 Re: Take Two - Calleya - Roof Complete now for more waiting 679Nov 20, 2015 7:07 pm Hi neighbours ! Not sure where to post this question. I'm wondering if anyone else happens to have a break down of their BAL costs? Mine seems to be too high but I don't know why. This is for a 450sq block. BAL 12.5. 1) Provide spark guards to masonry weep holes $453 2) Upgrade flyscreens to conforming mesh to aluminium windows and sliding doors $554 3) Provide full sarking and gap sealing material to roof, including provision of spark guard conforming mesh to roof (flume) vents. Delete 2x eaves vents $6462 4) Provide flame retardant brush seals to sectional garage door (includes 13mm vertical & 19mm header) $1379 Total = $8848. Most people I speak to seemed to have paid around 6k. Plus I paid another $3000 for the 6.38mm glass but I think that was fairish.
