Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 19, 2013 7:27 am We've taken the plunge and are building a Majestic 35 (almost 40 after modifications) with granny flat. Reading the posts and blogs on this site has been really helpful so we've decided to start a thread to share our journey with others. We're going through colour selections at the moment - a mixture of fun and stress! But hopefully it will all be worth it in the end! Like your plans, especially the location of the kitchen, dining and leisure room. Kind of wish we did that as I think it will work really well, but we are still very happy with our Majestic home that way it is. No matter what choices you make during the planning and selections process, you always at the end of it wish you had changed something. The quality of the Wisdom build is very good, we are very happy with it. Where area are you building? Look forward to following your build. We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! Reading your blog was one of the reasons we decided to go with Wisdom as there weren't any Majestic display homes at the time - so thank you! We're building in the Northern Districts area. Thanks for the advice about selections and glad your build went well with Wisdom. Hope our turns out as well! Anything we should look out for? We have had a few minor issues but they have rectified them pretty quick or have promised to fix them before handover. If possible, I would recommend that you visit your site quite regularly to identify any issues and let your SS know as soon as possible, as we foudn it is diffuclt to get tradies to come back in a timely manner. Good luck and enjoy the building process! Re: Building with Wisdom Homes - Majestic 35 5Dec 30, 2013 8:20 pm We're building with Wisdom too. Started as a Trinity 33 but they should just call it the Trinity 50 now... We'll hopefully start in April next year so will probably be a bit behind you. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes - Majestic 35 7Jan 06, 2014 5:41 pm We're also building with Wisdom - Congrats to all.. Looking forward to reading all your updates. Jaguar- love your blog by the way. Did anybody building the majestic or has already built the Majestic add the shower to the powder room? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes - Majestic 35 8Jan 07, 2014 10:22 am Hi fairlady, our build will be starting soon. We are building the Majestic 45 as well - the shower in powder room is standard in our plans. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes - Majestic 35 9Jan 11, 2014 7:30 am Thanks Aheron, Matt1, MR2, fairlady, kidsbuggingme! Look forward to following your builds as well! Aheron - Will definitely try and visit the site as often as possible and get lots of photos to share. fairlady - the powder room was standard in the plan when we went through tender. It's a nice addition. Just mulling over kitchen colours atm - laminex espresso ligna nuance or burnished wood nuance? Our home building blog - http://buildingwithwisdom.wordpress.com/ Our H1 thread - viewtopic.php?t=68651 Re: Building with Wisdom Homes - Majestic 35 10Jan 11, 2014 9:36 am We went white poly with burnished wood nuance above the cooktop bench, in the butlers pantry, vanities and laundry. I would say burnished wood nuance, but then I'm biased Re: Building with Wisdom Homes - Majestic 35 11Jan 12, 2014 6:47 pm Hi kidsbugging me, You wouldn't happen to have any pics of burnished wood nuance in a kitchen, would you? I visited your blog and it is a great source of info, especially with the cost of the upgrades! thanks for sharing Which facade did you choose? cheers Re: Building with Wisdom Homes - Majestic 35 14Jan 20, 2014 6:34 pm Hi Darali, Your facade looks great! We went with a heavily modified Sovereign. Wisdom were pretty good about changing the design to suit. All the best with the build! Also I am glad we could have helped some people along their way with their build choice with the Majestic. Any questions just holler you are going to love your Majestic. Our next build is on a acre and unfortunately wisdom did not have any designs for that type of build and even with some of their singles we could not adjust to accommodate having a house with a wide frontage... I will miss the storage that the Majestic offered us... Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE. Because I'm completely and utterly exhausted.
