Re: Wisdom Homes - Majestic 35 - Piering, Formwork and Drain 24Jun 21, 2014 7:15 am Hi all, we took a visit to the site today and piering, formwork for the slab had been done. There was activity as the plumbers were on site installing drainage pipes! Slab should be going down next week, weather permitting. It's starting to take shape! Congratulations! We are only a few days ahead of you. Ours was piered on Monday and slabbed yesterday. Thank goodness something is actually happening! P.S. I have started my own blog: http://majestic45.blogspot.com.au Let's race to the end! Haha Re: Wisdom Homes - Majestic 35 - Piering, Formwork and Drain 26Jun 21, 2014 2:26 pm Good luck guys. I hope you have a faster experience than we have had. Been going for 4 months and still building the outside of the house and that's only when someone turns up on site which is very rare. Re: Wisdom Homes - Majestic 35 - Piering, Formwork and Drain 27Jun 21, 2014 11:49 pm You finally did it kidsbuggingme! Blog looks great. We were wanting to get merbau posts for the front but were quoted something ridiculous. What did you end up paying for them? The race is on! Although from DSCDMC's comment it sounds like it can be a bumpy ride. DSCDMC - What reasons are given for the delays? Although from DSCDMC's comment it sounds like it can be a bumpy ride. DSCDMC - What reasons are given for the delays? I have tried contacting SS 3 times in the last 2 weeks but no reply to phone call or messages so I have not been told anything. Prior to these 2 weeks my SS has been pretty good at getting back to me so I have no clue what is going on. Extremely frustrating. Re: Wisdom Homes - Majestic 35 - Slab down 30Jun 28, 2014 6:00 am The moment we've been waiting on for so long happened this week! The concreters came and poured the slab for both the main house and granny flat! We decided to go for a month by month hire on them so we can stop rental as soon as possible. The electrical pole has also gone up. Our SS advised that the slab will need to cure for a week and frame will be delivered and put up the week after. Treated frames, blue steel beams, roof trusses and bracing are all ready to be put together. The granny flat frame has also gone in and is looking great. Trend Windows were also delivered and installed last week. We’re really happy with the Monument colour and the large size of the windows. Funnily enough, we’ve been given a mixture of silver and black handles which looks really odd. A quick call to Trend Windows and they said they can be swapped out very easily. Good to have something fixed with little fuss. It was great to be able to walk around and get a feel to the size of things. The rooms upstairs are bigger than we imagined which is terrific.
