Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantique 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 64Feb 15, 2014 2:53 pm coobri WOW melfordgurl your build is flying you will be in before you know it yeah it is flying now.. cannot wait to be in Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantique 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 65Feb 20, 2014 7:06 pm it WAS flying... it has now just stopped. the timber for the frame got delivered yesterday when it was supposed to be on monday. the timber has been sitting there all day.. nothing.. i can understand that yesterday there was a huge amount of rain, and so nothing would have been done. but i was expecting something today. especially since i called my SS and he said there should be people working on it was we were speaking. we went there this afternoon,..... nothing. i mean if there is a delay for whatever reason, just say so. if your framers are held up at another job, say that.. don't say what u think i want to hear. anyways, thats my rant.. hopefully will see something tomorrow or monday. if not, not going to be impressed. the week they were ahead from pouring the slab early they have just lost. Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantique 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 71Mar 02, 2014 3:04 pm Hi, We saw the windows on Weds laying on the floor, and then on Friday all but one sliding door and a window on the ground floor were in! Hopefully the roof trusses will be finished by Monday or Tuesday and the gutter and roof tiles are done by the end of the week, as I'm really eager to get the house 'locked up'. Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantique 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 77Apr 13, 2014 9:48 am They have finished the brickwork, all the windows are in and the external doors as well, so we went to lockup. This was about a week and a bit ago. Friday just gone, we got our invoice for fixing stage. Went to visit the house and oh my gawd.. All the kitchen, laundry, ensuite and bathroom benches are in, the skirting boards are there and so are the windows frames. Cannot believe how fast it is all going up. Spoke to our site supervisor on Friday and he said painting next week and gutters in and connected wed/thu next well as well. They would have had the eaves in last week but with all the bad rain we have been having they didn't want to put them in as yet. It's now getting to the existing part. So I guess a quick checklist of things that are left to do..not in any particular order of course.. - carpets - tiling - laminate flooring - painting - stone bench tops - walk in robe fit out in master bedroom - electrical fit off - sinks and basins - bath and spa - toilets - tapware - cladding on front facade - eaves - install manhole opening in ceiling - hot water service with solar panel - whirlybird - gas meter and connection Seems like a lot left, when you write it down like that in a list.. But they aren't really. HD Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantique 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 78Sep 27, 2014 12:36 pm How's your build going? Where in Melton west are you building?
