So next just need to wait for the CLE to be back at work on Monday and all systems are a go!!!! whoop whoop. Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantic 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 22Jan 10, 2014 12:22 pm OceanBlue I am looking forward to our colour selection. We are planning to go standard as much as possible. One thing I am willing to spend extra on is floor in hallway and family area. CH said upgrade to 600X600 semi porcelain is possible, nothing extra for tile, but additional labour cost. Lets see how much that will be. Hi Oceanblue, have you had your porcelain tiles quote for 600x00? Interested to know, building the thompson 35. My SC advised that it would cost more on top of labour costs. Thanks Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantic 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 23Jan 10, 2014 4:38 pm We just recieved our Building Permit!! We have been given the go-ahead to get the asset protection inspection organised with the builder so will be doing that next week. Progress. Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantic 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 24Jan 13, 2014 2:51 pm Today we completed the request at the local council for the Asset Protection Inspection as we are getting out site start in 2 weeks!! they managed to get us in on our original site start of Late Jan 2014 because we were able to get the loan docs and stuff organised quickly. I am so happy with them so far. Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantique 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 25Jan 21, 2014 3:11 pm Today we got our site start and slab dates.. cannot wait.. looking so forward to this. Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantique 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 26Feb 01, 2014 5:58 pm We have our site scrape and port-a-loo on the block. We finally have progress. It has been such an achievement for us considering how much we have been through and how long we have been looking for a home.

(our block is sloping) We are at a similar stage as you mel.. although we weren't given any dates as to when site would start , we just happened to take a drive past and saw the block scraped last week ! Never been so excited about a pile of dirt though. Just curious, have you signed your final contract drawings? We have yet to see them. I just assumed we would see them before any work would commence? Look forward to hearing about your build process... Your building the Manhattan I see.. before my husband got sick we were signed up on that home as well.. now stairs just isn't an option. We have signed our final contract drawings yes.. we did that at the contract appointment.. do you mean the construction drawings? we have a set of contract stage drawings but these aren't our final set. Our CLE said we would get a construction set of drawings before the slab goes down. You've never been so excited by a pile of dirt.. hahahahahaha.. welcome to my world.. I have a few photos of our dirt as well as the port-a-loo hahaha.. sad huh? where are you building? Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantique 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 31Feb 04, 2014 8:22 pm Today we went to look at our land and saw we have pegs all the way round our land with pink paint and a nail sticking out the top. Was expecting to see the temp fence up but still not there. HD Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantique 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 32Feb 05, 2014 7:35 pm Hello All, I am shutting down this thread.. Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantique 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 35Feb 05, 2014 10:29 pm Hi Melford, Sad to see your thread go. Finally found someone who got as excited as me over a pile of dirt/porta loo! Good luck with your build. Might check out your blog to see who's build finishes first lol (as we are on par so far it seems.) BTW we are building in the north. Good luck with it all. Im finding this forum quite tiresome actually. I cannot believe how people can be quite, whats the word without being too blunt, not nasty, just soo i dunno.. cant even put it into words.. They are more interested in putting a comment/reply to a topic/thread question that is unnecessary and can be quite hurtful than answering the question or making a comment about the thread itself.. I am considering closing down my membership actually as i am very disappointed in people's mentality. They just think they can put up comments and not think there is another person on the other end of that comment reading it. Its just a shame. So to ensure i dont get any hurtful or unnecessary comments on my building thread its better if i just shut it down and forget this site actually exists. At least on my blog, if someone tries to say something nasty/hurtful i can get rid of it.. on here.. you just cant. Catchya. Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantique 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 37Feb 06, 2014 4:55 pm Hi Melfordgurl, sorry you've had these experiences. I'll keep an eye out on you blog for updates. Hope all goes swimmingly well for you and your husband from now onwards. Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantique 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 38Feb 06, 2014 7:16 pm my faith in the human race and this forum has been restored by a nice apology from the person that made the comment... soo, for the time being, I may as well continue to update this thread as much as i can until it just gets too much later on when it gets more busy...
For the time being....We went to the site today and guess what we saw!!!! a meter box!!... lol.. quite worried about the fact i am getting over exicted about a pipe and box sticking out of the ground.. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ and Whoop Whoop Silly me called CH because the colour of the meter box isnt correct.. i didnt know that all get installed this colour and then it gets painted... Has anyone else head this??? Re: Our Build - Carlisle Atlantique 33 Mk4 - Melbourne West 39Feb 06, 2014 7:31 pm I can fully understand the excitement about seeing a boxing on a stick...haha. Our site start is not until Aug. Will be looking forward to your "baby steps" pics along the way.
