That comes off the $10000 we had to leave as a deposit once we signed the contract. Have your solicitors details handy too. In our case , they had a "no solicitor, no appointment" policy. I guess to weed out time wasters. Re: Building in Willowdale 63Jan 20, 2014 11:01 am JnSWILLOWDALE Yeh we had to pay the $1000 deposit just to get an invite to the info day. Good luck! The way I see it, get in quick as prices will only go up, not down. Re: Building in Willowdale 65Jan 23, 2014 8:04 pm Hi all, My partner and I have also acquired land at Willowdale. Our lot is from the 2nd release, we got 400sq for 262k. We are very excited to join what appears to be a great future community and can't wait to start building. As this is our first home and everything involved is quite new to us we would like to know how everyone else is travelling along at this point in time. If anyone would like to share that would be great. Thank you. Re: Building in Willowdale 66Jan 24, 2014 4:53 am Hi GnM_clearwing ! Great news, my sister actually bought the same size lot in the same release! You might end up being neighbours??? As for myself and my partner, we are still looking for a builder. We are going to new living homes this weekend to have another look. Since land might register April - June , we have to hurry up and decide on a design. I've been down to willowdale to check out the progress and the roads seem to be coming along well. I've been taking photos at different stages to compare to when our community is completely finished! 👍 Re: Building in Willowdale 67Jan 27, 2014 11:16 am Hi All, We too are on the way to secure a lot in Willowdale. Have anyone come across information on the schools? Thanks, Willodweller Re: Building in Willowdale 68Jan 28, 2014 5:21 am Welcome Willodweller ! I don't know much info about the school, as far I I'm aware it's still a "proposed" primary school. I hear from a friend that leppington public school is going to close, and that students will move to "willowdale" public when it opens. Don't quote me on that though... Re: Building in Willowdale 69Jan 28, 2014 8:34 am Hello all,
My best friend has just put a deposit on a House and Land package in Willowdale on Saturday morning. He is building with Clarendon Homes and the block he has put a deposit on is right at the back with Camden Valley Road behind him. I will be helping him/giving him advice so I thought I'd jump on here and say hey to everyone, get a sense of the community, up to date with whats going on with everyone else and you never know he could meet his neighbours here! Re: Building in Willowdale 71Jan 28, 2014 11:24 am daviboy Nice to meet you Sarah. Here will be an interesting topic. What do we willowdalers do for a buck? What's your occupations and your hobbies interests? Well I work in Liverpool at the moment for the government so traveling to work will be about the same for me from where I am now in hinchinbrook. I have a feeling the land registration will be delayed I got a email about 2 months ago saying about april to june but I have a feeling it will be longer than that Re: Building in Willowdale 72Jan 28, 2014 12:33 pm Welcome Sarah, Congrats to your friend and yourself! I'm hoping that land registers sooner than later as my fiancé and I have finally decided on a design. I'm in logistics/transport in Erskine park so the commute will be ok if I cut through the back onto mamre road. Western Sydney Wanderers fan til I die! Any others here in Willowdale??? Re: Building in Willowdale 73Jan 28, 2014 12:56 pm He's hoping land registers quickly as well!
The person who bought the House and Land package, Ross, works as an account manager for Bauer Trader in the city. Just wondering where everyone else has bought land? If anyone is in the same street or area he's in.. He is about 20 or so houses from the left of St Andrews Road. Re: Building in Willowdale 74Jan 28, 2014 1:04 pm We are on block 1311. I'm a security technician, so our house will have all the surveillance setup on the perimeter. I love sports bike riding, remote control cars and going out hunting once in a while. My fiancé works for NAB. Which is a plus in my books. It'll be great to meet you all one day maybe. Travel to work from Willowdale will be about 30 minutes. I love photography, watching movies (this is why our home theatre will be pimped out) and keeping fit. Not long till we all hopefully have our homes. Using Tapatalk Re: Building in Willowdale 77Jan 31, 2014 6:11 pm I'm still waiting on a building company to get back to me with a fixed price tender on their house and land package. I have put down the $2000 deposit in early January, but will decide if I definitely want the property once the fixed price comes through for the 300sqm package. Anyone been quoted up a nice package price? Also, any clue on what the street names will be named after? I'm interested to see once they finally release them. Re: Building in Willowdale 78Jan 31, 2014 8:35 pm Hi all, I've been meaning to add to this thread for a while now. My husband & I recently bought a 480sqm block in release 5. Like most, we are currently trawling through the endless display homes and getting pool quotes trying to decide what to build for our little family. My hubby works in IT & I work in finance. We will both be commuting to the city so being in close proximity to the SW Rail Link was a huge drawcard for us buying in the area. We have 2 little ones, 2.5yrs & 6 mths old. By the time the land registers & we build they will probably be 4 & 2 (scary)! Very interested in recommended child care and schools in the area. Kimba, like you I have been keeping an eye out for street names. When do they decide this. I recently met somebody who lives in 'Nimrod street' and I thought, how unfortunate, but I shouldn't speak too soon as I don't know what our street names will be yet! Anyway, hi to everyone who has secured a block, if I hear any updates on the area I will post on here. For those looking into it, good luck with the sales process and FYI there is a lot of information on what is planned in the community on the Planning NSW site, just search on East Leppington when you get there. Re: Building in Willowdale 79Feb 01, 2014 11:58 pm Hi We secured block 1105 backing onto camden valley way. We have chosen a house and land package with Eden Brae. can't wait for the process to start.
