Browse Forums Building A New House Re: building Our Denver 36 Dream Home 26Apr 02, 2014 1:59 pm Hi ally. The plans look wonderful. Can't wait to see the rest of your build. Re: building Our Denver 36 Dream Home 29Apr 09, 2014 7:43 pm OAS Ally, is your house getting rendered? Hey OAS We went in to our colour consult with intentions of having the two lounge room walls at the front rendered. But it was quite pricy. We have a friend who is a renderer, so we decided we will do it after the fact. Also that way we can stand back, look at the house and judge better as to if and where we want it. Re: building Our Denver 36 Dream Home 31Apr 10, 2014 9:56 am We go to check out the house every weekend. Been there a bit on week days lately mowing lawn. And clearing branches. The block is 4 acres and we are starting to get it looking beautiful. Re: building Our Denver 36 Dream Home 32Apr 19, 2014 9:40 pm Bricks are nearly finished, Just a small section left. Im so happy Re: building Our Denver 36 Dream Home 37May 08, 2014 11:44 am Wow looking great! Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65085 Re: building Our Denver 36 Dream Home 38May 09, 2014 8:17 pm OAS Ally the house is looking great. Can't wait for mine to start. Did you incur a variation fee to change the window in the bathroom? Things seem to be moving at a quick pace. Hi OAS I moved the window from from bedroom 4 to the bathroom. And put a large window in bedroom 4. Putting the long window into the bathroom cost nothing, but it was about $120 to have the larger window put into bedroom 4. How is your plans coming along. Any idea on a start date yet? Re: building Our Denver 36 Dream Home 39May 12, 2014 10:51 am ally-good Hi OAS I moved the window from from bedroom 4 to the bathroom. Any idea on a start date yet? Hey Ally, I am still awaiting the permit approval or whatever it is called to start the build. Hopefully we can start before the end of the month. Hoping to be in the house before Christmas. Re: building Our Denver 36 Dream Home 40May 22, 2014 8:23 pm Sorry i have been a bit slack with my updated the last couple of weeks. Since i last wrote our bathroom vanities, laundry cabinetry, butlers pantry cabinetry and most of our kitchen cabinetry has been done. They put the mouldings on our facade windows and they look BEAUTIFUL! Money well spent. Also they have done all our fit out (architraves and skirting). I will get some pics and put them up in the next couple of days. I was told by our supervisor that painting is starting monday. So that is wonderful news. I can not believe how fast the whole process is taking. It is looking like we will be in there in no time. We already paid for somfy motors for the blinds. The quote above was purely for “pre-wiring” so the blinds company can install the motors and blinds.
