Just got a phone call from maintaince .it will start the 3rd of march ( great place to document things so i dont forget ) and his bit which are little bits and pieces he said will be done in 2 or 3 days . Unfortunately I will still have to wait for a few other people to come in and fix things but its a start . I told him I like things prefect and he might need to deal with my axiety .lol he said he likes to do a good job . I think I scared the poor guy lol . But as long as we are on the same page .things should go well .hehe . He will be here on my birthday . But I new if I put it back even more this house will never start to get fixed Re: Melsie 68 1486Feb 19, 2015 11:57 pm How hard is it for people to qoute things for you .I sometimes think they think we are paying for a job . Lol . Getting qoutes for a patio how can prices be so different they all buy from straco Lol . On another note my 4 year old got her grommets out and found in she has a attic retraction which I have been googling and cant make any sence of it . Best I stop looking at internet just stresses you more out Re: Melsie 68 1487Feb 20, 2015 12:02 am Oh Melsie that's frustrating ps yes leave Dr Google for a little while it really will just stress you out <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=62083">viewtopic.php?t=62083</a><!-- l --> Re: Melsie 68 1489Feb 20, 2015 12:36 am I have a "nursey" friend who "interprets" all that sort of stuff for me in layman's terms. Very handy. Maybe you might already know someone who can do that for you? Best I stop looking at internet just stresses you more out Hey Melsie, Attic Retraction means part of your little ones ear drum is sitting a little further in than it should be. Sometimes in kids this fixes itself over time. Googling medical stuff is scary.......especially if there are pictures You might have to be referred to take her to an ENT specialist to have it monitored. Re: Melsie 68 1491Feb 20, 2015 1:37 am Thanks kel . You seem to know a little about it . .I did read that but then it started saying that it can turn it something worse . She has appointment in 6 weeks at pmh .thanks kelly .nice to see you on here . Re: Melsie 68 1493Feb 20, 2015 4:18 am I have to say I'm so thankful Google wasn't around when I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at age 17. If I had known what the survival statistics where I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be alive. About 15 years ago my dr died and my new dr insists on full disclosure all I'm going to say is I'm so glad I didn't have full disclosure then. The mind is an amazing thing <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=62083">viewtopic.php?t=62083</a><!-- l --> Re: Melsie 68 1495Feb 20, 2015 12:02 pm I saved one of my BF from dying by looking up his symptoms on google...Dr kept telling him he had reflux. He had a high pain threshold already and typical male, didn't want to be seen as "weak" so wasn't letting on how bad it really was. By that time half his heart muscle had died. When I printed off the heart attack symptoms for BFF and she went to his Dr, he ordered the ambulance straight away after weeks of fiddle farting around!!! So sometimes it's a really, really good thing to know what's going on, as long as you take a balanced view...Doctors certainly don't know everything there is to know, especially about the human spirit. Re: Melsie 68 1496Feb 20, 2015 12:57 pm Omg trees how lucky is that . I like to read up on things that I totally dont understand .so when I talk to the person about it I kinda know what Im on about .he he .its just the waiting of 6 weeks to talk to the doc about it . Re: Melsie 68 1497Feb 23, 2015 3:50 am Mels I'm sorry to hear you're worried about your little one's ears - as much as google can be your friend it can also be very scary! Try not to worry about it too much, you'll see the specialist soon x Re: Melsie 68 1499Feb 24, 2015 1:29 am Ok is it just me or is this totally weird .had a email from redink today .they have now contacted a tiler to re grout two of my showers . But the tiler will be contacting me is the tiler who came to fix my other grout problem and who didnt mix the grout properly and left me with grout that went to powder .then toke another tiler to come out here twice to fix his job . Dont get me wrong guy was a nice guy . But that grout issue sent me overboard . I fill sick in tge stomach that they would even get the same guy . Just like lifestyle walldrobes on here im sure the mental hospitals are going to be busy lol. I havent contacted redink yet .but im trying to think of a nice way to discuss this with them . For real this guy cost them money why would he still have a job . I just nod my head . Im sure redink will sort this out surely they dont think I wont the same guy . Vent over .
