Hi to anyone out there building with Clarendon Homes in general. I plan to build their Sheridan 38. I liked the floor plan i initially saw on their site but fell in love with Sherwood 37 in GF. Two weeks later made the decision to KDR, signed a Contract Sale Advice form (is this the norm?), paid $1000 deposit to get things started, that was 17/11. Bore hole done 23/11, surveyor 27/11.
28/11 I decided that Sherwood base price is too dear. The preliminary tender figure didn't leave me much room to budget for anything else. I love everything about Sherwood except their grand feature staircase. Not safe for kids at the sharp angle, can easily miss your footing. I wish their designer upgrade package was offered to all their homes.
I was hoping to go to tender before Xmas but my appt not till 9/1...I hope there will be no price rise(!) otherwise I have to rethink abt building at all.
I don't know how I'm going to make it to the 9th! I just want to know the tender and the situation with my slightly(?) sloped land.
Any thoughts and advice regarding building with Clarendon would appreciated.
I'm excited and scared at the same time.
