Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 13, 2014 10:39 am We are building with plantation, The Manhattan Q1 with 2 rooms addittion to the plan thats study and gym . We are building in Teviot Downs/New Beith in Greenbank on an acreage. We are still in the early stages. we have only paid initial deposit and soil test done, came back as M Class. We are just waiting for our Tender appointment sometime mid April, colour selections in May and everything else afterwards. I just wanna hear what others are upgrading and for how much with Plantation. Especially Upgrading Entrance door, i know doing flooring with them will cost more but is anyone going ahead with them?. Downlights, other pendant lights over Kitchen island bench ? How much, driveway, alfresco floorinng, anyone putting quantam quartz bench in laundry etc...Did anyone attend their information sessions that runs on Saturday?, any good?. Any info and advice will be greatly appreciated. Re: Building with Plantation - Manhattan Q1 2Mar 13, 2014 11:49 am Hey Ru, we're also in the early stages with Plantation but are building in their Breakthrough ranges so pricing is a bit different, and we're also waiting for a tender appointment and stuff to find out prices for some of our upgrades + still need to do colour selection/electrical too. But what I can help with is that their Information Sessions at Cosham book up quickly. I rang up this week after we requested our Tender and the earliest I could get in was April 12. The next date after that was April 26. Either of those, if still available, will be early enough if your colour selections aren't until May. On the brightside your timelines give me a good guideline on what I can expect. Re: Building with Plantation - Manhattan Q1 3Mar 13, 2014 12:20 pm We were happy with them. Came in on time and under budget. Excellent after sales service - ie when house was being built. We've just recently had our contract signing and colour selections appointment, which went real smooth. Probably cause I'd already pre-selected a lot of things. So just our electrical to go, and all the paperwork like covenant approval and all that other stuff. Hoping for an early August site start.
