Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 29, 2014 7:11 pm We are building in Rochedale Estates in QLD currently, and it is a Telstra Velocity only area. We have been told that as of January 1, 2014 the ONT (Telstra box for the fibre) is not inside the house, and not on an external wall. After over 3 hours on the phone this week to Velocity people, none of them know what this actually means, and conduit instructions etc that our electricians needs before sheeting begins this week. Does anyone have an knowledge on the ONT being inside the house rather than external. All the telstra docs online only talk about an externally mounted one, and we need to know urgently. Telstra have promised a contractor our in 2 weeks to tell us, but this will set us back with the build. Thanks Re: Telstra Velocity for a new House 2Mar 29, 2014 11:50 pm We are building in an estate with Telstra FTTP (fibre to the premises, presume it's similar thing to yours) and our box for all the cable connections are on the inside wall of our garage. Re: Telstra Velocity for a new House 4Mar 30, 2014 6:20 am I went through the same process some months ago and the advise I received from a contractor was to install the cabling for the internal hardware. They advised whilst they are moving to new hardware that does not require the additional cabling, there is still sock of the internal hardware. Thanks Shane Yes well there solution is to blame everyone else while I a 65yr old woman with major medical problems have to just continue to boil water and wash myself in a bucket… 2 16019 If you make sure all taps inside and out are turned off, what does the water meter show if you leave it for a while. 2 20236 13 6634 |
