Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 341Jan 28, 2014 10:06 pm Hi fellow Appin Valley neighbours, myself Chad and my partner Kirsty are building on lot 2013 in stage one on Kingfisher Ave. Been watching the progress for last 8 month going from a paddock to now an estate, have taken lots of photos of the progress from the start of construction until now. Its all becoming very exciting knowing that building is not far away now. Looking forward to meeting out fellow neighbours Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 342Jan 28, 2014 10:16 pm Hey guys welcome there is a little event on the 22nd Feb at Appin pub from about 12.30 onwards, if you are free head on out buying from a paddock was pretty awesome hey especially when it's come so far in such a short time! Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 343Jan 28, 2014 10:51 pm Hi everyone I'm Kirsty im Chad's partner from lot 2013. The waiting game is almost over we are almost on the home straight the last 8 months have gone quick but at the same time feel like its taking forever. Its starting to really take shape not long before we will be able to drive to our blocks. I know both Chad and I are really looking forward to starting to build to be able to move in. We have both had enough of living with parents and in laws lol Thankyou for the invite both Chad and I will try and do our hardest to make it out to the get together Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 350Feb 06, 2014 4:13 am Hi everyone, just a heads up so no-one else gets caught out. We are building and are having massive issues. Please inbox me and let me know who you are thinking of using. I won't name on open forum or disclose facts as we don't need any issues and if it's not him I won't say who it is but if it is, I will suggest you may wish to do your own homework which won't be hard as it is now common knowledge in the local and wider industry as it is so bad! Please don't mention names here if you know. Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 351Feb 07, 2014 12:08 pm ^ Nectar are you talking specifically about Appin Valley or are you trying to trash a builder you are having problems with? Your post doesn't really tell us anything and you've posted it in a few different threads. Researching a build in South Australia from Sydney. Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 352Feb 08, 2014 5:11 pm Hey All... Hubby and I have bought in stage 4 Lot 3103 so we are a long way off registration. We have one little boy 18 months old and another boy on the way Due in june. I hope they Power along we have been told registration will be in July/August. We are looking to build with wisdom homes and I am a bit concerned as they only allow for an M class slab . So i may have to look into some other builders before i attempt tender with them as I don't want to waste $$$ Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 353Feb 08, 2014 6:14 pm KGsGirl ^ Nectar are you talking specifically about Appin Valley or are you trying to trash a builder you are having problems with? Your post doesn't really tell us anything and you've posted it in a few different threads. I think asking if I am trying to trash someone is the wrong way to describe my post. If wanted to trash them and wasn't worried about consequences I would! As per forum rules and warnings I have not named anyone, indicated where I am building or given any clues as to who it is and nor will I until it is resolved legally. With this in mind my post isn't suppose to identify who or where it is! I am sorry but my hands are tied right now with how much I can warn people. I can delete my post if it's a problem? Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 354Feb 12, 2014 12:30 pm Hi Tobel7983.. we are building with Wisdom and in their Tender process they allow for extra site costs and I'm pretty sure we were told about the slab needing to be H class just in case as its a mine subsidence area, who are you talking to at Wisdom? Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 355Feb 12, 2014 12:33 pm Also our tender only change by 2k and that's because we need to cut at the back and fill at the front Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 356Feb 13, 2014 12:06 pm Hi everyone, My husband and I bought in stage 2, Lot 2047 Heritage Drive, we are so excited, can not wait to start building! Love the fact that Appin Valley have their own little thread and we can all share our building experience. We are currently trying to find a draftsman to draft up the design for our house and currently finishing off removating our existing home and getting it ready to sell mid April, so very busy times ahead! Does anyone know when stage 2 is looking at registering? Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 357Feb 13, 2014 12:54 pm ^ OurBigHouse - anywhere from beginning of March to some time in April.
