Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 264Jan 23, 2014 10:15 pm Yeah Walker corporation own most of the land in appin they offered all nice prices for peoples land and they get to stay there until development... appin community were told that all developments are going to be small but appin valley will be the smallest one Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 265Jan 23, 2014 10:15 pm Haha too funny Emmalea! KGsGirl that's interesting will be good to find out one day what their plans are, inlaws haha!!! Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 268Jan 24, 2014 5:45 am Hey guys just thought I'd jump in I'm 25 and my fiancé is 28 but we both will be a year older this year. We are on the corner of Simpson st and post mill road we faced Appin road. When I spoke to walker about Appin road they assured me it wouldn't be widened that it would be a 50km zone till the end of the estate and that they would build Appin bypass before they widened Appin road. If you look in your contract you will see that the bypass is located behind the bush blocks. I thinks it's part of the reason the estate is the shape it is. We have a h class slab they are standard with beechwood and we have added deeper piers to cause we were worried. I can't wait to have the land ready to go and the slab down I just want my own house already lol and to meet all the locals it's going to be such a great community so far everyone is so lovely and I know a lot of people who have bought in Appin valley from my high school. So will the other estates be close by? I'm crossing fingers and toes a high school goes in. Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 269Jan 24, 2014 6:58 am Nice to meet you Alexdavid! Yeah I did notice that the bypass but had no idea what sort of time frames they were looking at for it. They are going to need to make the primary school bigger with all the young families moving in too! Researching a build in South Australia from Sydney. Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 271Jan 24, 2014 7:53 am Yeah I can't see them widening Appin road either, with property either side it would be tricky because you need a break down lane. Hahaha yeah a by pass, that bypass was proposed over 20 years ago, its been published in the street directories as well. They say its behind the bush blocks but they haven't told any one they proposed 2 other locations for it to council but council told us they still hadn't passed them and were in the talking about them process, they think its a waste of time because its not needed and if you speak with RMS they also tell you its not in the budget and they don't think its necessary so by the time the bypass goes through you probably would have moved already. If you know about Appin already the other estates will be Macquarie dale rd, Brooks Pt road and Wilton Rd that's where all the properties are that they have bought up Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 274Jan 24, 2014 8:29 am Our driveway is getting done with our builder, and my father in law is doing our fences if our neighbours will agree, our driveway is $5000 I wanted to get it done after we built but my husband wanted it done straight away Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 275Jan 24, 2014 8:56 am jazzyad29 Has anyone done any driveway / fencing quotes? We got driveway quotes around 6,000 for both with the home company and private builders As for fencing my partner is a draftsperson for Fair Dinkum home and sheds so if our neighbours let us we are getting it through him and putting it up ourselves to save on costs Re: Anyone else in Appin Valley? 276Jan 24, 2014 11:17 am Just a thought we should all meet at Appin Pub one weekend and have lunch?
