Thought to mention. I was out there today and noticed a couple of sites have had a site scrub and have been pegged out. Well done to you guys who are lucky enough to get started all so quickly.

Swung by this afternoon, our neighbours have their slab partially laid out and piers concreted another was getting concrete piers when we were there. Seems they can move quickly now it's all started.

Drove past on the weekend and noticed that 3 or 4 lots have frames up - at different stages with a nicely optioned double storey Bromley being built on Flynn. A couple of lots have also been scrubbed and ready for slab too. It will be interesting to see how much things will slow down over winter.

Why do you think it will slow down?
I am building on Nazarene...
Such a frustrating process, apparently we are going to start our build next week but i won't believe it until I see it...
Construction generally will slow over winter as it takes longer for soil, concrete, adhesives, plaster & paint to dry, especially when it rains.
If you plan on starting next week fingers crossed for you, then you'll be cutting it fine for a pre Xmas handover if you are on a 30 week build.
We haven't received any notification of when our build will start. So least you are ahead of the majority.

We are in same boat. Asked when will it start, got a letter saying construction phase started and works will commence in 20 working days. That was 3 weeks ago so in theory we should start next week but haven't been contacted by building supervisor yet.

Yeah exactly, yes it's under by a long way but as you would have seen last valuation was a few years ago. The lower it is the lower the rates so enjoy it while you can!
Those few days are up they are about to cop it again, lack of communication drives me crazy, it's not that hard....

Anyone else here waiting on a "Complying Development Certificate"? Ours was apparently only submitted on the 27th of May and they said it can take up to 8 weeks! Hard to understand when so many have started...
How long did it take for everyone else's to come back? How soon after that do they start building?

Ours went to council on the 3rd of Dec. Was told on the 8th of Feb it had been signed off but takes a week for paperwork to be sent to Mirvac. The delay was then for the land to settle which was on the 9th of May. Our build started around the 26th of May and we currently have our first floor frames and some windows in and what looks like the steel and second floor frames on site waiting. Hard to tell on actual council time with our dates as it overlapped Christmas. The wait is pretty frustrating as you don't get much feedback or any updates.

Thanks for the reply.
We are building in the same release you are and are in Taya St. We were told they weren't able to get council approval until the land was settled. Wish we were progressing as fast as your place is, I don't think we will be in our place until next year now.
Anyone else awaiting for their house to start building? What are Mirvac telling you?
