Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 15, 2013 6:09 pm Hi All I am just going through the final stages of prestart before beginning to build a new house on a narrow block. We have hit a snag however with some retaining requirements that effectively means due to the narrowness of the block the only option we have is panel and post. Our neighbour has managed to get a full screen brick wall down one side at the rear of the block which we initially wanted to copy all the way around the rear of the block however due to the levels we need to retain this has proved to be impractical so we will end up with a screen wall down one side and panel and post at the back of the block and down the other side. My question therefore is does anyone have any experience with basically disguising the panel and post retaining with something a bit better looking than colourbond ? A false wall maybe we could render to match each side of the block. Any suggestions or ideas would be very much appreciated.
