Thanks all for sharing your experiences - we are looking to build our home, and think it is going to be an exciting journey.
As this is our first, I have a few questions - and I will search or post as these come to mind.
We are looking at corner lots - leaving the original house and building a second house facing the secondary street (in Parramatta Council).
This may be a trivial issue - but I am concerned re being unable to clear trees off a block, as well as the foot path right infront of the block. Are these relatively easy to request permissions for from the council? Surely the council won't stop us from developing the lot, given the scarcity of land here.
Also, are councils flexible with Floor to Space Ratio? Or are these written in stone? In the residential zoning we are looking at, FSR is 0.5:1.
Anyone here built in the Parra council?
