Square ones sometimes appear to stick out too much.. But if you have your heart set on it I think everhard have a basin called virtue which is semi recessed (but I feel that the caroma quality may be better) Imperial also had one called Toledo but as they're moving manufacturing from China to the UK (unheard of,hey?!) they may not be in stock yet. Re: Welcome to Paradise - Week 17 - BAD NEWS AND GOOD NEWS 414Oct 06, 2014 9:41 pm I think the rectangular ones look a bit more modern. The tap extra distance is only 5cm. Have they got a photo from another build they could show you? Agree it's not worth any delays some people probably pay to upgrade to the rectangular one. Re: Welcome to Paradise - Week 17 - BAD NEWS AND GOOD NEWS 415Oct 07, 2014 8:12 am I think they'd both be lovely to look at, but I'd be concerned that the new one might be much smaller? This may not be an issue at all as even though you've given sizes I can't really get an idea of the size in real life. Can you go look at them in the showrooms? Re: Welcome to Paradise - Week 17 - BAD NEWS AND GOOD NEWS 416Oct 07, 2014 9:58 am I'm not well at the moment and I really don't have the energy to care about sinks never mind to actually walk around and look and size and check and and and... blah! Rectangle it is! My build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=68002 Re: Welcome to Paradise - Week 17 - BAD NEWS AND GOOD NEWS 417Oct 07, 2014 10:22 am Sorry you're not well Burns..it always makes everything feel so much harder you poor thing. I can remember looking at a caroma carboni II that was square - 415mm. It was heaps big enough so I think you should be fine with the option suggested. I actually like the look of that one too!! Hope you feel better soon.:-) Re: Welcome to Paradise - Week 17 - BAD NEWS AND GOOD NEWS 418Oct 07, 2014 11:23 am I think the rectangle ones look great as well, hopefully they're not too much smaller. Sorry to hear you're unwell but the ceiling looks fab! Love the high ceilings in the living and your entrance looks incredible, going to be very grand! Re: Welcome to Paradise - Week 17 - BAD NEWS AND GOOD NEWS 419Oct 07, 2014 11:31 am Just caught up, sorry you're not well that sucks. House is looking really good, bummer about the sinks. I don't have a preference either way but I do agree with what the others have said, the rectangle ones don't stick out as much. I guess you have to be happy with the decision and whether you are happy to hold things up while you keep looking. If not, go with the rectangle and know that it wasn't your first choice but it works. Rest up, get well xx Re: Welcome to Paradise - Week 17 - BAD NEWS AND GOOD NEWS 420Oct 07, 2014 1:31 pm Sorry your not feeling too good. It's all action at your house. Sounds like they are building a nightclub with the singing thats coming from there.
