We got our timber yesterday hopefully Monday they start, as our progress payment is set to be paid Friday. I'm not sure if you're building with Fairmont, or a builder who uses the same timber supplier as Fairmont, but a lady in the same development as us who is building with Fairmont, has had her frame partially sitting there for just going on 2.5 weeks. Apparently the truss making machine has broken and there's been delays with supply, well that's what she was told anyway! Just thought it might be the same issue if its the same builder or a builder who uses the same supplier Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66299 Slab: 16/6/14 Frame: 4/7/14 Roof: 22/7/14 Lock Up: 20/8/14 Fixing: 26/8/14 PCI: 9/10/14 Handover: 20/10/14 Re: Hickinbotham Homes - Green Tree Walk (Paralowie SA) 69Aug 05, 2014 2:05 pm We unfortunately lost a few days due to rain. We also lost some time waiting on some structural steel to be delivered to site (maybe 3 or 4 days). That was installed Wednesday last week and nothing has happened since. I've also noticed my builder has started another block in the estate before finishing mine. My frame was half installed on the 8th of last month and very little has happened since. I've never built before but that seems a little lengthy. Maybe I'll flick them another email tonight. But Wednesday they started putting our frames together Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Then Thursday they were all up & the trusses Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Today all the windows went in, except the bay window, which must have been damaged or something coz it was def delivered Thursday with the others Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Are you organizing the soil removal yourself iyeayo? I noticed a block across from us that went up super quick, took a guess that it was yours and I am right! You must be so happy. They really don't mess around. I'm amazed how much progress can be made in so little time. I went past my block yesterday and the guys on site said plasterboard will almost be complete by the following arvo.
