Iyeayo did you go past your block today Yes Mish, I did!!!! Thanks for checking, did you drive past too? I drove past and I saw loads and loads of timber frames and sheets of wooden boards already delivered. I thought it was nice going there to see something new each week. Cant wait to see them all go up. I am tempted to go back tomorrow (I wish!!!! )and just sit and watch as they put them all together Building the Newport with Fairmont Homes in SA: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=71292 Re: Hickinbotham Homes - Green Tree Walk (Paralowie SA) 83Sep 04, 2014 3:33 am Yes I went to see if our plasterboard had been installed & noticed your delivery I thought you might be excited. Congratulations as you expect your little one. Hope it all goes well for you and your family. I am also on maternity leave until October. 12 months goes so quick especially when you are busy with something as engaging as building. Happened last night. Hopefully security caught them in the act. I had a look at other blocks and they look to be fine. Re: Hickinbotham Homes - Green Tree Walk (Paralowie SA) 86Sep 07, 2014 5:08 pm Oh, no. That's so unfair. Hopefully they'll have it all replaced quickly. Re: Hickinbotham Homes - Green Tree Walk (Paralowie SA) 87Sep 08, 2014 1:03 pm Oh no, thats horrible Pseudo!! What a set back! Like lucinda said, hopefully it is fixed quickly! Are security still comin to the estate? My husband said he hasn't seen them in a while?? Iyeayo unfortunately I only have 6 months this time, I'm still on probation period at my new job, so it will go super fast!! With the build & a 21 month old also! Re: Hickinbotham Homes - Green Tree Walk (Paralowie SA) 88Sep 08, 2014 10:50 pm Pseudo, that is so horrible. Re: Hickinbotham Homes - Green Tree Walk (Paralowie SA) 90Sep 09, 2014 11:16 pm Thanks guys. My builder said they will fix the issue as soon as possible. Have a meeting with 2 of my neighbours tomorrow to sort out fencing. Won't be much longer and people will be moving in. Can't wait. Re: Hickinbotham Homes - Green Tree Walk (Paralowie SA) 91Sep 10, 2014 1:30 pm We need to sort out fencing too, but don't even know where to start really. Hoping to meet on site with our supervisor soon regarding our insulation. We noticed it was all left around on the floor after the plasters came, so my hubby put a small hole in a wall & NO insulation. The plasters were so slow it was falling out before they put the walls up & instead of putting it back in they have just left it out! We paid extra to have internal wall insulation, so my hubby is fuming!! On another note, got an email yesterday that joinery should be complete in 1 week & handover follows 6-8 weeks later!!! Yay Re: Hickinbotham Homes - Green Tree Walk (Paralowie SA) 92Sep 25, 2014 4:29 am Mishl, how are things going with your build? Seems things are a bit quiet in the estate these days. Wow! Congratulations again. Love your house--looks like you'll be in very, very soon. I always think roller doors are a good sign that completion is very near. Re: Hickinbotham Homes - Green Tree Walk (Paralowie SA) 98Nov 04, 2014 8:31 pm Lovely house I must say. Its beautiful and you must be proud I bet. Love the idea of a roller shutter at the back instead of the usual door. We didn't think of that but its a nice concept. I drove past today and saw that a few people have moved into their homes already. Shouldn't be long before you get your keys I gues. Very nice mishl. How exciting.!. Unfortunately mine isn't progressing as quickly. I was advised our first practical completion inspection would be this week but as of today they have said it will be another two weeks. We are well past our 18 week build guarantee. I've asked to meet the supervisor and have a chat. We had hoped to be in a few weeks ago. I've decided to tackle the fencing on my own. Great to meet you and congrats on the new addition to the family. Re: Hickinbotham Homes - Green Tree Walk (Paralowie SA) 100Dec 06, 2014 7:34 am Sooo we have our keys!! We got them last Friday, only down side was they had not completed the aircon so we moved in all the heat with no cooling! It's installed now though & it's so nice. Not sure if u guys will need them also iyeayo & pseudo?! Also both our reclaimed & main water meters are in our driveway!! It's going to cost at least $1200 to have them moved so hard to do these extra things right on Xmas! Have you had your walk through yet pseudo? What was the hold up? Hopefully you can be in for Xmas!
