Browse Forums Building A New House Re: MrsT12s AM530 21Jan 08, 2014 10:08 am That's great to hear. I hope our experience will be similar. Just one question, did you upgrade the electrical pack? Or is it worth doing after handover by some other electrician? Re: MrsT12s AM530 22Jan 08, 2014 10:51 am Nah we didn't use one of their bigger packs. We added in/moved a couple of power points and switches but that's about all. We'll have downlights added after handover, MUCH cheaper. - MrsT Brought first house in 2008. Renovated...a LOT. We haven't even seen it yet, a sibling drive past and sent me a photo. I'll put some pics up as soon as I get a chance - MrsT Brought first house in 2008. Renovated...a LOT. Built in 2013. Re: MrsT12s AM530 - Framed! 33Jan 19, 2014 8:53 pm Looking good! We are at a similar stage with out Henley build. Our SS came back on Wednesday and nothing has happened due to the heat, so hoping some things happen this week Re: MrsT12s AM530 - Framed! 34Jan 20, 2014 6:50 pm Do you have a thread stayxtrue? I'd like to see your progress too! I can't blame them for not doing anything last week, I didn't work either! Friends that drove past on saturday said there were people working then so I guess they had thurs/fri off and worked saturday, or something like that. Whatever, they're chuffing along pretty quickly so they can keep doin what they're doin! - MrsT Brought first house in 2008. Renovated...a LOT. Built in 2013. Along with a solar panel, air con, and (from what I can see looking through the fences and windows lol) the a/c ducting is all in and the electrical wiring is underway. http://i1327.photobucket.com/albums/u661/mrst12/roof1_zps8e7ce1e6.jpg http://i1327.photobucket.com/albums/u661/mrst12/roof2_zps72485e71.jpg http://i1327.photobucket.com/albums/u661/mrst12/elec1_zps977b4fa7.jpg Dates: Land deposit paid: Feb 14th 2013 Estimated Settlement: July 2013 Actual Settlement: Oct 29th 2013 Site cut/fences up: Dec 10th 2013 Pipes set in ground: Dec 12th 2013 Slab poured: Dec 18th 2013 Frame started: Jan 6th 2014 Roof up: Jan 25th 2014 - MrsT Brought first house in 2008. We had out bricks delivered on Friday, plaster boards are there, doors are in with handles and locks, pink batts are in! So looks like a big week for ours this week Re: MrsT12s AM530 - Roofed 38Jan 25, 2014 7:01 pm Ooh exciting! I was hoping our bricks would be there today but no luck, will have to wait till next weekend and hope they show up then! I'm dying to see them because I've not seen them in person (apart from the samples). - MrsT Brought first house in 2008. Renovated...a LOT. Built in 2013. Our thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67954 Re: MrsT12s AM530 - Roofed 39Jan 26, 2014 6:30 pm Yea I was dying to see ours! Once I saw them I thought that they were quite a bit darker than what we had anticipated! So we took a brick and went driving and found a house around the corner with the same brick colour and white morter. It looks amazing! So now we are both very happy with our colours! It looks like your plumbing is also in?? they did our plumbing and electricals within the 2 days of one another. Looks like you will have you bricks arrive sometime this week maybe? Re: MrsT12s AM530 - Roofed 40Jan 26, 2014 9:00 pm That's great! I've been looking for houses built with our bricks for the last two years and am yet to find one, so that's why I'm so keen to see them in bulk. Ummmmm I know nothing about plumbing... Could only see what's in the bottom photo there, through the fence across 4 meters of yard and into the theatre window lol. Hoping the bricks show up soon but we can usually only go visit the block on weekends so will have to wait till then to see if they're there yet. - MrsT Brought first house in 2008.
