Re: Lethe's House - Baldivis, Homebuyers Centre 84Mar 24, 2014 2:12 pm I know right I am hoping that they get started on the floors this week. The electrician was at work on Thursday doing all his work but he has missed my external powerpoint in the carport andmfrom what I can see there is no wiring for it in preparation which is a bit annoying and he remove tiles off the wall in the ensuite and made a second hole in the wall i guess the powerpoint may have been too close to the basin? I just hate seeing completed work having to be redone because all I can see is that it'll mean delays which means more time paying rent and a mortgage My Baldivis Build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67953 Re: Lethe's House - Baldivis, Homebuyers Centre 85Mar 26, 2014 1:03 pm The external painting begun on Monday!!! and then it proceeded to rain yesterday and looks like it will continue raining today. As someone who prefers the rain over sunshine I am in a quandary about whether to be happy or sad But tradies have been seen going in and out of my house the last couple of days but I can't quite figure out what they have been doing as I cant see any changes through the windows. I am just waiting for an opportunity to be able to get inside again. Will post photos of the painting so far as soon as I have uploaded them to my brand new laptop which my insurance company has replaced for me despite not actually being covered for accidental damage My Baldivis Build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67953 Re: Lethe's House - Baldivis, HBC - External Painting done!! 86Mar 28, 2014 2:55 am Our external painting was completed yesterday I am so relieved that it doesn't look too bad, out of everything we had to decided about at our prestart meeting choosing the external colours caused me the most stress. I am happy with it but if I did it again I would probably choose a darker roof. http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/1966685_10202718716341873_1200751870_n.jpg http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/527114_10202725547472647_701355138_n.jpg http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/1557537_10202725547432646_654391898_n.jpg http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/10154482_10202725547512648_1863127073_n.jpg http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/1625473_10202725547392645_1703269306_n.jpg My Baldivis Build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67953 Re: Lethe's House - Baldivis, HBC - External Painting done!! 87Mar 28, 2014 5:30 pm I got into our house today because the cleaner was there cleaning everything. PCI is so close I can almost taste it So from what I can tell all that needs to be done is the flooring, window treatments, paving and the NBN/Phone connections and the electrician has to install a couple of unfinished power points. Here are some pictures I took today Ensuite http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/1527007_10202729205964107_1496056965_n.jpg http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/10157370_10202729205924106_1873392135_n.jpg Main Bathroom http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/1977245_10202729204884080_983097861_n.jpg http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/1546148_10202729204924081_1315221834_n.jpg Kitchen (love my benchtops) http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/1901660_10202729204844079_2088752368_n.jpg http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/1939790_10202729206004108_1552281502_n.jpg http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/1534346_10202729204804078_1815142651_n.jpg My Baldivis Build: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67953 Re: Lethe's House - Baldivis, Homebuyers Centre 88Mar 28, 2014 5:38 pm colesy I wish they'd hurry up with your flooring I want to see the spirit Oak in full. At what stage did you have to pay Trevor for the upgrade? Hi Colsey I was just reading over my thread and realised that I didn't answer your question, sorry . We had to pay for our upgrade by the time we reached 'plate high' when all the brickwork was done. We paid for it in instalments over that time. I got told originally that i had to pay for flooring upgrade at roof cover. Haven't heard from them so not sure whats going on im at plate height now. Might just call them and pay them. Re: Lethe's House - Baldivis, HBC - External Painting done!! 90Mar 28, 2014 6:50 pm Hi Lethe, Can't believe I have missed your thread until now! We are building in Avalon, on a tiny block, so I have loved reading through everything We are having a few similar things. Benchtops, pavers and roof. I wanted a darker roof too. We are having darker gutters etc, but figured a lighter one would be cooler. We had an attached both sides in our last house. Caused havoc with our bathroom and mold. If you can afford it and need to, look into the velux skylights. They are $$, but brilliant in that situation. Hope you get in soon ______________________________________________________________________ Signed up Jan 2013........Almost done! On Sunday morning our blinds were installed and the installers left our doors unlocked but it did give us the opportunity to check everything out. While we will eventually change these to plantation shutters we are quite happy with the chainless / cordless design of the vertical blinds much better than what we have currently in our rental My room http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/1392049_10202741017179380_1152550533_n.jpg Em's Room http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/10171757_10202741017139379_227145653_n.jpg Living space http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/Lethe_K/Facebook/My%20Baldivis%20Build/10150588_10202741017219381_623425931_n.jpg Oh and Colsey, when I drove past this morning I saw that the flooring people were there So hopefully I'll have some pictures by tonight. That is exactly what I thought The velux skylights actually open and let you get airflow, even though you don't have a window. It is basically a window in the roof, which is classed as a skylight so you don't need strata/council permission I LOVE your taste! We are having black blinds too, roller ones though, and our floors in our old house looked like yours! Loving seeing everything going together for you ______________________________________________________________________ Signed up Jan 2013........Almost done! Is this something that they can fix easily so should be pointed out when we have PCI or should I just live with it? The picture below is an example, while these are rather low down there are other sections which are much higher.
