Any news on when you might get a slab? Building our first home in Jindowie Estate, Yanchep, WA with Buzz 1st Homes Re: KiwiGalAbroad's Build - Off to the home show 73Mar 05, 2014 1:36 pm I went looking for splashbacks too and was generally disappointed in show. I did talk to 2 different liquid limestone guys. Will dig out the flyer with contact info. I think they were both around $60-65 per sqm. Went up from there for the coloured concrete. polished was double! Re: KiwiGalAbroad's Build - Off to the home show 74Mar 05, 2014 8:42 pm Ardie was that quote inclusive of labour? Re: KiwiGalAbroad's Build - Off to the home show 75Mar 05, 2014 9:04 pm I knew i must have missed some stuff, thats the trouble trying to navigate through crowds with prams and small children screaming they are either bored or hungry Re: KiwiGalAbroad's Build - Final plans- almost !! 76Mar 05, 2014 9:13 pm I received an email from our pre start lady today updating me, she has received the final draft plans - however she noticed something was missing so requested they be fixed asap. We hope to have them in the next day or two Well done to my pre start lady for being onto it Re: KiwiGalAbroad's Build - Off to the home show 77Mar 05, 2014 10:10 pm trixee Ardie was that quote inclusive of labour? Hey Trixee, yes I think so. I just pulled out the flyers. It was Lifestone Paving and Contemporary Decorative Concrete. It was about $65 per sqm for liquid limestone, about $85-90 for aggregate, $110 ish for honed and about $120-130 for polished. In case anyone is interested it's about $250-300 per sqm for Trex decking! Re: KiwiGalAbroad's Build - Final plans- almost !! 78Mar 05, 2014 10:21 pm Thanks! Didn't realise the limestone was so comparatively cheap. Re: KiwiGalAbroad's Build - Off to the home show 79Mar 06, 2014 12:20 pm ardie514 trixee Ardie was that quote inclusive of labour? My brother and I are planning on getting liquid limestone for our massive driveway (about 100 metres squared). We probably want a charcoal coloured and sealed surface though, so I guess we would pay a bit more than $65 per sqm. Re: KiwiGalAbroad's Build - double glazing or not? 80Mar 08, 2014 5:25 pm We have had some interesting information come to light in the past 24 hrs. When we received our first lot of contracts the builder had included an extra cost for 6mm glazing as we apparently had to have it as we will be near a fairly main road. We were a bit annoyed at the is unexpected cost but had to wear it. Well I have just met someone who lives around the corner from us (closer to the main road than we are) and they did not have to get extra glazing done. So i made some enquiries with the developer and sure enough our address is not listed as one of the properties that required the extra glazing be done. The dilemma now is - do we keep that glazing as it is already account for cost wise, or do we go back to normal glazing and use the extra money to either get the things we couldn't afford at pre start or pay for the things we did add at pre start ! so keep the 6mm glazing or get rid of it and use the money elsewhere? The fastest thing a builder will do is bank your cheque, those systems work perfectly with lightning speed, everything else is slow burn. Just the way it is. 1 8716 Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE. Because I'm completely and utterly exhausted. How long are variations taking with other companies at the moment?
