Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 22, 2013 12:51 pm Hi All Just want get some opinions on Building Brokers and if it worthwhile exploring this option? I have a design that I would like get built and obviously want to shop around for the best possible price and just wondering if a Builder Broker would be the way to go. If you have used one, please leave your comments on the following: 1) Was it worthwhile? 2) What are the real costs involved? 3) Did you find they managed to save you heaps? 4) Any recommendations for a broker in Adelaide, SA? Anything else I need to know would be really helpful. Cheers Re: Builder Brokers?? 2Oct 22, 2013 2:56 pm Hi Jonnofoot I am currently also looking at using a building broker my block of land doesnt get registerted until next year so I have been shopping around and a building broker is something I have looked at. I had spoken to Peter from better building prices and he was quite nice and gave alot information about their process etc . They do seem legit and usually dont charge to use their services if you have your own design I dont think they will charge you. I am also keen to hear from people who have used a building broker as well. Re: Builder Brokers?? 3Oct 23, 2013 7:25 am I am gathering from the lack of responses that not many people have used the services of a Builder Broker? I do have my own design so might get in contact with a couple and see what they can offer me. My block is not yet released but I am trying to get everything sorted out so that when it does get released I am ready to and not hold the process up at all. Hi Mofflepop, I would recommend finding a building designer to prepare plans, they should design to your specified budget. The benefit is you can tender the project out… 9 20413 Hi, did you get any money from insurance? if you did, does it match what you've already paid the builders? 3 9565 |
