Hey Kash, I feel your pain. We went back and forth about 4 times with plans and corrections, etc. after prestart. Take your time this go around since any changes you make (though not their errors) will incur a variation fee after this batch. They are pretty strict about it, at least with us they were. We had two variations made yesterday that Redink said we needed after they did the final look through at all of our addenda and plans. One was a paving option they don't offer any more (it's been that long since we chose it I guess ) and the other was moving a towel rail since it turns out it didn't actually fit where it's been on the plans for the past 3 months! My husband said we should send them an invoice for a variation fee since we wasted our time and energy pouring over the plans and we said "no more changes!"
The window height thing could be because of different ceiling heights. In a 31c room the windows will go to 28c as standard and to 25c in a 28 c ceiling height. However, if you want them all even, and told them that at prestart then they should get it right. Same with the shower head, GPO positions etc. That external conduit on the kitchen island is actually inside the cabinet, but since it's not inside a wall it's an external conduit. Not sure I explained that well, but it showed up on our plans post prestart too and I had no idea what the heck it was. There was also one in the garage. It's apparently pretty normal. However, it should still be explained and we shouldn't have to just accept anything because they tell us. Don't sign anything until you are totally 100% satisfied. So frustrating because you really want the whole process to move along quickly, but then you don't want to be rushed with your plans and selections.
We have a ton of GPO's in our WIP too for the same thing! It's sort of my budget version of a scullery
I've started many a not so pleasant email, but then I've slept on it and used the nice tack instead. Not really sure either way makes things move any faster Good luck Kash!
