Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 21, 2013 8:21 pm Hi Just wondering if anyone has put central heating in after handover? Our builder includes central heating in the build, however we are not satisfied with what is on offer. We'd like to put a different (and better) unit in that is a different brand to the one that the builder uses after handover. I've asked our admin to take out the central heating unit that is included and credit us the difference. I've been told by our admin today that they can't do that because they need it for the occupancy permit. Does anyone have any experience with this at all? It doesn't sound 100% right to me that you need central heating to get your occ permit/certificate. I thought the permit/certificate was more oh&s certified to be able to move in. Cheers Re: Has anyone put central heating in after handover? 2Oct 27, 2013 7:09 am I would be surprised to find out that the absence of heating will prevent the issue of an OP. I have built a number of houses without heating. Re: Has anyone put central heating in after handover? 3Oct 28, 2013 4:28 pm Thanks Leighton. That's what I'm thinking but I've been told NO. I'm going to check with the council and see what they say. Iām loving the potential versatility and practicality of a bench seat in a shower. Anyone had one of these done recently? Not sure if they are straight forward and easy… 0 749 Hello everyone, I have a question regarding moving a chandelier after it has been mounted.
