Or if he does pass them on he doesn't actually read them! Oh dear!! The appliances look great, so shiny and sleek I think our tile choices are fairly similar, except our floor tile is darker. We chose to have the tiling the same way - floor tiles around the bath. It was funny, when we were doing our selection she asked us which way we would prefer it. To be honest I would have never thought of it!! I asked her what most people do and she said its pretty much 50/50!! Who would have guessed ha Re: Sharon's build with home group WA 73Jan 27, 2014 11:30 pm I am hoping that it will make the floor space look bigger!!! what main floor tile colour did you pick? we went with the white and then changed it two weeks later the the dark one Re: Sharon's build with home group WA 74Jan 28, 2014 9:33 pm We haven't completely decided upon the main tiles.. We thought the brownish dark ones would be good but after looking at a few photos now we're thinking the whiter ones And that means we haven't decided on the carpet either!! We were told that the main tile and carpet should be similar. Hopefully I'll find some photos to try and put a picture to the options.. Re: Sharon's build with home group WA 75Jan 30, 2014 10:15 pm I have started to write my feeback for HGWA! so that way I don't forget all the little things once those keys are in ready I will forget all the bad stuff or the things I am disappointed with there isn't a lot of thing iam disappointed with, I think that prestart was rushed and we needed more time. I have notice that there were things that we didn't pick out like the door handles on the theatre and games room door (they are sliding doors and have different handles to the other doors). Re: Sharon's build with home group WA 76Jan 31, 2014 3:01 pm I went up to HGWA today and took photo's of the main floor tiles we are having. we are not in love with them, but they will do just fine in our house (I hope!!) they are a dark brown. in these photo's they look brown! the display that the tiles are in is black but this photo makes it look brown too must be the lights in that display room Like ⋅ 1 comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Sharon's build with home group WA 77Jan 31, 2014 3:27 pm I would of had darker tiles in my living area if i had a choice .my partner chose light tiles and they are going to do my head in . this whole build is doing my head in .after looking at my photos notice that light switches look really funny on either side of my tv recess .firstly because over looked that they are not the dame distance from doors. and secondly why did i put them their. well it is white floated and ss has kindly covered them up and put them on either side of sliding doors . Who said redink isnt a good builder .i hope they stay that way. Re: Sharon's build with home group WA 79Feb 04, 2014 10:04 pm 2-cupcakes-pls Yes I did think about moving the manhole to the garage, but we moved it to the L'dry and I cant remember why? Hi cupcakes. Having a manhole in the garage does potentially pose security issues. Your house is massive - I am very jealous! We wanted a similar brick to your first choice but it got discontinued. It was very disappointing, but we picked another brick and things went from bad to worse, haha! Re: Sharon's build with home group WA 80Feb 04, 2014 10:22 pm Hello Sharon, Just noticed your thread and I must say that is one massive house - wow. Will be keeping an eye on your build as we are also building the HGWA. I think you made the right decision to have your manhole in the house, our last build we put it in the garage but when we had bad weather the wind would come through and move the cover around alot. I was so worried it would fall out and onto the car underneath that eventually we just removed it completely. Asha Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17591 Hi, did you get any money from insurance? if you did, does it match what you've already paid the builders? 3 9565 |
