We haven't got our proper floors in yet, but walking on the upstairs is very noticeable downstairs. This will obviously reduce once we get carpet upstairs, but what are your thoughts on this? Re: 101 Residential build- Burns Beach _Handover 186Oct 20, 2014 10:55 pm Haven't really noticed anything mate I suppose if you jumped up and down you'd hear something but with normal walking it's quiet 101 Residential in Burns Beach viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67711 Shire Approval 31.12.13 Slab Down 15.02.14 Moved in 14.10.14 Re: 101 Residential build- Burns Beach _Handover 187Oct 25, 2014 5:36 pm OK A bit of a pick update We've been in 10 days so there is so much more left to do. Thanks Melsie It's all my wife...I just lift heavy things The floor tiles were a special order from Italy. Had to wait 12 weeks. The wall tiling behind the TV and master bed are a bigger version of the tiles we used in the bathrooms. They have a concrete effect to them. My wife would like me to clarify that I've never been sent to the Doghouse 101 Residential in Burns Beach viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67711 Shire Approval 31.12.13 Slab Down 15.02.14 Moved in 14.10.14 Re: 101 Residential build- Burns Beach _Handover 193Oct 25, 2014 6:11 pm More questions . Re: 101 Residential build- Burns Beach _Handover 194Oct 25, 2014 6:12 pm triggywiggy Wow. I love the carpet in the family, it looks lovely and cosy. What a good job you have done. It certainly is My grandaughter said she loves our new house as she lay on the floor doing carpet angels. Carpet was almost a disaster as we were told 3 days before laying that they checked our carpet and it had a fault in it with no stock to replace it. We had to do a reselect...you'd be surprised how many greys there are (greys that looked perfect until they were held up against our paint/tiles and suddenly looked purple, green or brown)..what a hassle that was but we were happy with the result. 101 Residential in Burns Beach viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67711 Shire Approval 31.12.13 Slab Down 15.02.14 Moved in 14.10.14 Re: 101 Residential build- Burns Beach _Handover 195Oct 25, 2014 6:32 pm Melsie68 More questions . Hey Melsie Mrs R34 here I bought the chairs from Fantastic Furniture in Joondalup $199 each, the tiles on the floor we bought from European Ceramics, I think hubby couldnt believe I finally made up my mind, I changed the bathroom tiles 3 times and the floor around the same, before we finally settled on the ones we got, even then 3 weeks before we had the tiling done I saw some I thought I liked better, never panicked so much over tiles in a house ever before and trust us we have built a few times, I was so relieved and excited once it all came together....the trick is never doubt yourself, just remembered I said to hubby how about we tile behind our bed with the same tiles as the tv recess, (knowing we didn't have a headboard) we are both wrapped in the end result and the amount of people who commented on it saying they like it.....like I said never doubt yourself. We have been in our house going on 5 mon. My husband choose all our selections as I can never make up my mind .but one thing he picked that I was scared the whole way was my living area floor tiles .they are off white porcelain tiles . Everyone comments on them and they look great . But they are a nightmare to keep clean with all these kids . I told my partner never again .he still thinks if we ever build again he would choose the same tile . No way . Thanks for your response and sharing your home . Re: 101 Residential build- Burns Beach _Handover 197Oct 25, 2014 7:10 pm Your home looks amazing!! You've really done a fantastic job bringing it all together My build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=68002 Re: 101 Residential build- Burns Beach _Handover 198Oct 25, 2014 7:27 pm Oh yeah the artwork are photos on canvas done by Berenice Carter who currently has a stand at Whitfords shops until Christmas Cheers Chris http://www.berenicecarterphotography.smugmug.com/ I know what you mean Melsie about the tiles In our last home i wanted timber and Kim wanted off white glossy porcelain tiles..looked great but they drove her nuts so we carefully considered our selection this time. We originally had selected what you can see on the elevation...I started to have doubts and referred to them as Fred Flinstone tiles and that set the boss off and we had to go looking again. Glad we did as they look great on the outside but were too busy on the inside. Same for the bathroom tile selections we both had doubts but didn't say anything until one of us let slip...then it was off reselecting again Thanks BFT...can't wait to see yours and Triggy's finished product 101 Residential in Burns Beach viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67711 Shire Approval 31.12.13 Slab Down 15.02.14 Moved in 14.10.14 Re: 101 Residential build- Burns Beach _Handover 200Oct 25, 2014 10:40 pm Your house looks amazing - great furnishings and finishings. Love it. What are the dimensions of the room with the couches in it? I'm struggling to read off the plans. 1 4667 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
